As much time as I spent recognizing actors from other favorite shows, I was expecting you to…but you seem to have missed Dr. Cottle and Leoban from Battlestar Galactica. Keep your eyes peeled, you’ll see a fair few from Stargate, too.

I love this show. So many great characters, I love Sam but Dean is my favourite. Jenson does a fantastic Job as Dean. His acting is on another level.

You absolutely must watch The X-Files! I watched it with my mother when it was airing. I was only 12 when it started and it’s a core childhood/teen memory. Fantastic show.

I am so psyched! =) (btw I noticed you asked about other show recommendations... I HIGHLY recommend 12 Monkeys (show not the movie) and Fringe---esp based on other shows you seem to watch and like. I consider them along with SPN to be the all time best sci-fi shows.

I don’t know if anyone mentioned this yet- a lot of people questioned why Dean came back for Sam at the end of the pilot. There’s a deleted scene with Dean starting to leave and his car starts to glitch, and brotherly instinct telling him Sam needs his help.

I love Supernatural so much, I signed up to your Patreon only for this! ☺️ Btw, Dean knew to come back cuz there's a deleted scene where his car started to give signs of static (demonic activity). Idk why they decided to remove it from the final version.

awe the frame rate on your version is different than the one on mine so i keep having to pause my dvd so yours can catch up 😔 googled to see if i could change the fps on my dvd player but my mac is just too outdated it seems rip

Omg, Supernatural! Wow, I remember this show being mentioned by you, and I hoped that you would watch it someday, but with all the other shows you're watching right now, I didn't expect you would start this one already. While I've been kind of hanging back and waiting for you to get several seasons into your other shows before I start watching them with you (because they are shows that I haven't seen and yet have been meaning to see for quite a while), Supernatural is a show that I HAVE seen. I watched it when it aired, and I was with it for almost the full 15 years. (I started a couple seasons in and then once I binged those I couldn't get enough). With such a long running show, of course there are some of the later seasons that people have mixed feelings about - some people love certain seasons while other people will tell you they are kind of 'meh', but overall Supernatural impressed me with how consistently just top tier good it is throughout its entire run. There's so many other shows I have seen since then that have similar themes or characters in them, and I always can't help but compare them to Supernatural, and always find them lacking somehow. I always think to myself "eh, Supernatural did it better" ..... Because in almost all cases, they DID do it better. All of which is to say that you're in for quite an amazing and emotionally investing journey with this, and I can't wait to see your reaction to this show and some of those episodes that I know have a profound impact on people, and some that are considered by many to be among some of the best episodes of television, period.

The pilot was off by a lot, I had to pause quite a bit for stretches due to the extra footage in your copy. The second episode was a lot better. I only had to pause Netflix 3 or 4 times for a couple seconds to resync. We'll see what everyone else says, though. Excited you're watching this, though! I thought it was so interesting you saw the ending of the first episode as the kids being forgiving but the mom combusting due to guilt. I always saw it as them dragging her down to hell. I like your version better.

This doesn't sync up properly with the Netflix (US) version. Since you bought it, it might be a more extended cut whereas Netflix has the aired cut. I haven't tried the second episode yet, though, so it might just be the pilot. I hope we can work it out because I'm always down for a rewatch of this show! Hyped!
