Merlin 1x1 "The Dragon's Call" | Full Reaction
This is an incredible introduction to the show!
Welcome! Since this is the first episode of the series I've made this available for everyone! You will need your own copy of the episode to watch along, I'm watching along on Amazon Prime.
If you enjoy this consider becoming a member!
Enjoy!

** I'm watching the show on Amazon. The American DVD release converts the show from PAL to NTSC which slows the episodes down 4%. Open the show in VLC player and you can speed it up 4% and help keep it in sync.

I just had to get a subscription man I love Merlin and didn’t have enough patience to wait hehe
Glad you're here! Merlin is a great show so far!
AHH!! You have no idea how much this made my day that you're starting Merlin!! I'm currently re-reading Merlin fanfic that continues the story to help me with never wanting this story to end lol, so getting to re-watch the show with you will be so fun!
I think this show is going to be a LOT of fun. I can't wait to get further in. I hope to love it so much I'll need those fanfic recommendations when it's over.
So excited to see your reactions! I ADORE this show. I would recommend not reading up on Arthurian lore/legend as I think going in somewhat blind can help make some future plots and characters more surprising. I think it might be nice to have commenters potentially provide some relevant legend facts after an episode reaction, provided they don't spoil/hint at future plots. However, if you instead fancy getting to know more of the lore, it would not ruin your experience.
This was really helpful, thank you!
Am i the only person having sync problems. DVDRip
I meant to mention it in this episode, I do mention it in the next one since this is not an HD show the American version is slowed down 4%. I believe the DVDs are like that, but the streaming version is the correct version. If you use VLC and speed up the episode by 4% that should (mostly) solve the sync issue.
I've always wanted to watch this show but just never get around to it with all the other stuff that I have on my list of things to watch. I'm excited that you're watching it now cuz watching it with you gives me an excuse to finally get into it. Think I'll do what I usually do though. And wait till you get a few episodes in before I start it.
It's enjoyable so far, it feels exactly like I'd hoped for a tv show from the time period.
I love this show. I love the sarcastic humour. pretty sure its where I got mine 😂
