As that AUTHENTIC music & sound TRAVELED up to Chicago & over California, that’s how you get people like “Common Sense” & “Twista”, as well as “Too Short” (from NoCal), “Ice T”, “Dr. Dre & N.W.A.” (from SoCal) & others like the “D.O.C.” & the “Ghetto Boys” from Texas, because of AUTHENTICITY, not manufactured & manipulated bullshit. Numbers have been manipulated for like 35 years now. So if you try to be authentic, like things were when this shit FIRST came out, your shit will DEFINITELY sell. Because people are craving authenticity, especially in this so-called AI/manufactured & manipulated world we are currently living in. Plus, people have to realize, before rap came out, R&B was the dominant genre in the black community & R&B was FAILING/on life support at the time. Then rap came out & took over the WHOLE shit & actually helped to SAVE R&B. They started having all types of rappers rap on R&B songs as well as they started using HipHop beats & HipHop sounds in their music, instead of the normal R&B music & sounds that was going on at the time & it helped to resuscitate R&B, up to the point where it’s at right now, were you can’t really EVER hear a R&B song without some type of elements of rap/HipHop in it & they have to use all types of shenanigans to get a R&B song to pop/click nowadays. But a LOT of people don’t know or remember that shit. Shout out to places like Uptown Records who HELPED to “save/resuscitate” R&B & people like Teddy Riley, Mary J. Blige, Sean Combs, Andre Harrell, Heavy D, Grand Pubs & others who used HipHop beats & sounds to SAVE R&B, because it was on mutha’fuccin LIFE SUPPORT at the time.
