Vin - Mistborn

Today we’re releasing Vin - the main character of the original Mistborn trilogy. Her mistcloak turned out to be the most challenging part of the model, and we reworked it three times. At first, we added many strips so they could be split into separate parts for printing, but they almost completely hid Vin’s silhouette. We then reduced their number, but since all the strips flowed in the same direction, the cloak still looked too bulky

In the final version, we used even fewer strips and arranged them in different directions. We decided not to separate them from the upper part of the cloak - otherwise, it would have been nearly impossible to tell where each strip should be attached during assembly
