Edward Kenway - Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Hello, friends!

So, have you already had a chance to play the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag? I haven’t played it yet, and I’m still wondering whether it will feel as impressive as the original did when I first played it back in 2013

For Edward, we chose a rather risky composition. Until the test print was finished, I was worried that the model might be unstable because of the tall wave and Edward’s position, but everything turned out well and the model stands securely

In the original concept, Edward was supposed to hold one hand near his face, as if he were looking into the distance. But once we finished that version, we couldn’t stop. As a result, this model has a record number of variations for us: two head options and three interchangeable arm options. You can choose between a hooded and an unhooded head, as well as an arm near the face, one holding a sword, or one holding a pistol against his chest. The arm near the face is not compatible with the hooded head, which is probably quite logical

There are also a few technical details to keep in mind when choosing your version. Edward has two pistols attached to his chest, but when using the arm holding the pistol, you only need to print the upper chest pistol. The same applies to the swords: Edward normally has two swords on his belt, but if you choose the version where he holds one in his hand, you only need to attach the second sword to the belt. That is why the files include two belt options, which differ depending on whether the mounting hole for the sword is present

I honestly hope I managed to explain everything clearly and didn’t make all these options even more confusing

I also want to clarify something about the merged version and the bust. When the model was finished, we couldn’t decide which combination should be the main one, so we initially chose the hooded version with the pistol. However, after painting the model, we preferred the unhooded version with the sword and used it for the main renders. In the end, we decided not to create several separate merged versions

Overall, I think this turned into a truly large-scale model with a wide range of assembly options

As always, fantastic bust. I only ever print the busts as my printer is so small, so I'm glad you do such good ones.
