The fifth model of the May release
Hello friends!
At this point, I think there’s not much reason to explain Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - or who Verso is. I’m pretty sure you already know all of that, so I’d rather talk a little about the work behind the model
During the creation of the composition, both the pose and the base changed quite a lot. The original idea was completely different, but in the end we decided to move away from a more static pose and take a risk with something more dynamic. This decision came partly after we looked at Verso models made by other studios - we didn’t want to repeat the same pose, weapon choice, or overall feeling of the character
For the composition, we used the location from the final confrontation between Maelle and Verso within the Canvas as a reference - the scene with a red disk resembling an eclipse, dark abstract shapes, and flashes of gold
Also, after I had already rendered the model, I suddenly wanted to experiment a bit with the renders and rework the old scene into something more interesting. In the end, I deleted all the first renders, spent a few more hours rebuilding the scene, and rendered Verso again. I think you’ll like the result

Awesome work! Any plans for a Maelle companion piece to go with this?
We've already done Maelle before Verso. There are no plans to do her again at this time
Amazing work !! A diorama vs Simon would be beautiful
The best Verso model out there!😍😍
