Progress Report

Alright, we've finally done it. We completed another project. We can give each other a little slap on the ass and be proud of ourselves.

…For like two seconds.

Now, while The Edge Of – Definitive Edition will come out on Steam on the 19th and I will annoy you guys to wishlist it (please do: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3445640/The_Edge_Of__Definitive_Edition/), for today, let's talk about the current project that also need to be completed this year (He Maid Her Fall) and our new project which will start later this month (Entropy).

Entropy

I mostly have everything for the first release. All I need to do is actually finish coding the thing. One thing I didn't mention a lot openly is that I have been working on a Godot plugin since June. I've been annoyed with the performance of Renpy for a while now. Live2d perform very badly, and there's always some jank associated with the engine. It feels… a bit cheap. Not to say that it's not a great software. Without it, I wouldn't be where I am today, but I really wanted something better catered to my needs.

I think the plugin I worked on is finally ready for a real test. And this test is going to be with Entropy. If everything goes well, I will use it for the upcoming NTS project as well. I hope it does work, else it's going to set me back a bit.

I've been busy, as always. But I will try my best to complete and release the first update for Entropy in the first half of the month. Something to keep in mind: it's going to be our next small project. Which means 10k words update. Something else that I did mention multiple times, but it needs to be reiterated every chance I get: the prologue was written as its own thing. Without porn. In fact, I will probably release the prologue on Steam, for free. And it will be all age. I will explain more when I release the first update. It might sound bad, and it might be bad. Who knows?

So yeah, exciting that we have a new project, but something to keep in mind… will take a bit of time before arriving at the meat of it.

He Maid Her Fall

I kinda went through the rest of the game and calculated all of the CGs that I would need and it's a bit more than I thought. I want to complete this project for November, but I'm not completely sure I would be able to. I don't think we will have an issue with the animations, but it's my illustrator that might have a hard time. I will see where we are after this month. Some CGs I wanted to add in might not be very important. We're very close to the end of the game though, and there will be an update this month, obviously. I don’t know the size of it yet. Will try to make it as big as I can with the assets that I have.

One thing though is that it will release late in the month. Expect it for the last week of the month.

A have a lot of things to stress about this month. Not just work but also in my very real cat life. So I do hope I can keep up. As always, thanks for the support. Will try my best.

I hope to play HMHF soon and would love to see more CG content. The 0.9.7 version didn't fully immerse me—the gameplay felt a bit too short. I'm not complaining; rather, I want HMHF to become even better. In my eyes, this work is truly a masterpiece.

I’m all for you being able to make HMHF as good as you can so I don’t mind waiting a little longer. Like HEY HEY said I’ll think of it as a Christmas gift.

Also can't wait for HMHF 0.9.8? And of course HMHF 1.0.0. And the next project premier Entropy and the NTS project

I say if you can’t for sure finish HMHF by November, aim for a December release. It could be a nice Christmas gift. Plus it will give you more time to get everything together
