Progress Report

Every month feels kind of the same. I'm just glad we're getting closer and closer to one of the projects being completed. It's scary, in a way, since I don’t believe the next projects will necessarily work. Big question marks around those. But still, I welcome new adventures.

For now, let's talk about what we have.

He Maid Her Fall

If I'm right, we have about 70k words left to the story. Logically, at the pace we're going, it should be done in four months (including July). So October. And if we're to split them equally, the updates would be around 17k words each.

This month, the update will be more something around the lines of 15k words. It's not that I don't want to work on bigger updates, it's that it is hard now that I only have one animator to be able to animate all scenes, even more so when the ending has so much more action.

The bigger scene has already been animated, so I'm pretty confident that I should have everything ready at around the same pace as usual.  So I'm going to say the same as the previous few releases. I'm aiming for the 16th.

The Edge Of – Definitive Edition

This is a bit exciting, but scary as well, to me. We're now in uncharted territory. Which means I can be somewhat more creative instead of trying to fully copy the original game. It also means that whatever the fuck I wrote a year ago will now be in the open, showing my shameful lack of understanding for my own characters.

The new content, all in all, is about 30k words, I think. I can't unfortunately do this in two updates. I'm missing art still, and this 30k words is pretty packed, so my animator also needs time to cook.

I prioritize the animations for He Maid Her Fall, and I will also be waiting for the voice actress, which means this update will release after He Maid Her Fall. It will be small though. Something about 8k to 10k words, and will encompasses the "no" ending from Beth POV.

I will say around the 25th, hopefully.

Fantasy Project

Still working on it. I'm re-reading it because… well, it's a lot of things to remember, and I don't take notes because I'm a cat and a retard.

I do have the cover CG. As well as the CG for the first scene. I also have a background artist. It's going fast. It scares me. I will probably later this week send the first 10k words to be translated by my Japanese translator… and later this month/next month find the voice actresses for the two heroines. I want to be well prepared for when The Edge Of is eventually completed and I can seamlessly shift from one project to the next.

NTS Project

Similarly, I have the cover as well as a few CGs for this project. Though I had to stop because HMHF was in deep need of more CGs. I also have a different background artist for this game, my composer has been also working on the OST for some time (I have 10 custom tracks for it right now). I'm writing it, it's going well… though I dunno. It feels kind of slow. Both projects I'm currently writing are longer than expected. It scares me. It's a lot of time and investment. I just hope you guys will be able to enjoy them.

Like the fantasy, I'll try my best to have everything ready so that we can shift

Conclusion

I haven't had time to think too much about the future. I feel like I'm always running, trying to keep up. But soon lots of things are going to happen. Old project completing. Fans mad because the endings suck ass. And new project starting. And fans mad because new projects sucks.

The story of my life I guess. At least I can live happy knowing that my wife, Hangover, is so pure and loyal.
