Video suggestions appreciated

Hello guys, with Earth Day coming up, I’m trying to come up with some kind of video for the occasion. Any things you’d like me to cover?

Maybe a save the turtles since they eat jellyfish that clog pipes that produce electricity or something. I don’t know, I’m just thinking of something random. I’ll be looking forward to your next video regardless though! 👍🏻

Maybe animals that take part in the “clean up”, like the Cleaner Wrasse?

Global warming's effects on marine life.

Reaction video to terrible but funny memes? Like the “free cat” sign posted for road kill or the “I found your cat, he’s aggressive” but is actually a possum. Sure there are lots. I got a bunch if you want them.

I would like to know more about animals that live in extreme environments.

I would suggest colugo as the ultimate treehugger, but I'm completely and hopelessly obsessed with colugos right now.

i would just say...cover something that you think is important and relevant in regard to earth day

Prehistoric animals could be an interesting subject, you never covered them before

SailorOfHouseThunderBird · April 15, 2024

Do a planet of the apes themed one.

Z
Zhenya Maria Frankova · April 15, 2024

Animals that keep the earth clean, scavengers, worms, etc.

M
Mags · April 15, 2024

Earth Day is the theme so maybe a video about the oldest animals on Earth so “Earth’s Oldest Companion” maybe?

Maybe something about symbiotic relationships between animals.

When it comes to "important" species for the earth to thrive, I have very strong opinions about decomposers (mushrooms, cockroaches, millipedes, isopods, beetles, ect) especially since a lot of decomposers are "icky" to people. That could be something. Or maybe a segment about the welfare of animals we always take for granted (chickens, pigs, cows; i.e., eggs, meat, and milk production)

Good idea on the animals that many people consider food. Thank you.

Something related to a species that lives most of its life underground would be fun. My first thought was worms but that may be too niche. That said, we wouldn't be alive without them and the range in size and their feeding habits can be kind of crazy if all you're used to are garden earthworms 😁 Moles might be an alternative.

I second this. Earthworms and other earth-movers would be a great topic!

Maybe for Earth Day you could do a video about the animals that live in it (underground and such)

Species (non-domesticated) who have adapted best to human encroachment? Or "pre-domesticated" animals (in quotes to include animals that aren't really tamed by humans. This might be just me, but I'd love to know what rats were before they were part of human civilization. Success stories of animals coming back from the brink of extinction? Or maybe the ways animals other than us shape their environment? I'm trying to come up with things that aren't incredibly depressing and it's hard.

J
Jane Simpson · April 15, 2024

I was going to suggest the same. I do not want to seem Polly Anna-ish but something to give us hope would be very welcome.

What about species that were/are threatened or endangered but population numbers have been bouncing back? Maybe with a quick sentence or two about how humans can and are impacting species numbers. That kind of stuff is what inspired me to become a biologist as a kid.

Like the California Condor (very closely related to vultures >.> )

K

Vultures? They keep our earth clean, which seems on-brand

A
Ashtar · April 15, 2024

I love vultures!

R
Rue · April 15, 2024

Something about keystone species, maybe?

H

I thought about that but I think it’d be too similar to a previous video I did
