Here's to 2,000 MORE posts (and then 2000 more again and again) [Casual Friday] tough [9-5] project is behind me (yay) [Book Club] update [Gone Girl] [Villainous Woman] and my continual [Sapphic Vampire] love

yay

i am happy you're here and i hope you're happy to be here.

Recent Reads

  • Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke

    • I liked it! It was my favorite of the bunch, main character reminds me in parts of Amy Dunne from Gone Girl

  • The Knave and the Moon by Rachel Gillig

    • I didn't like it as much as the first book in the duology but I am still happy to have read it, just it felt like it dragged a little

  • A Plagued Sea by Kim Bo-young

    • Strong in the front with the mystery and questioning but it lost me a little in the end, still a good read to me :D

  • The Emperor's Enemy by Jasmine Mas

    • not for me

  • She Haunts Me Still by De Elizabeth

    • There's no better surprise than a vampire suprise and I get another tick in the sapphic vampire box. I think A Dowry of Blood is still my #1 (though its only a touch sapphic honestly) but I am excited to see if The Brides by Charlotte Cross topples that because I am really enjoying reading it.

Yayyy, so happy to have you, so happy to be here 🧡 Yayyy, Dungarees is gonna bother us again with unhinged ideas — excited ☺️! In the back of my mind, I was trying to send ya all the good energy and also working on my project xd (Two weeks of having fun deciphering and anticipating questions from fast talkers who pronounce words like they're underwater... my brain cells are fighting for their lives at this point xdd) Happy to see book club and the sapphic vampire love continue! <3 I've been rereading a book, and there's such a nostalgic, cozy feeling to revisiting old favourites. Ahh, yess, I loveeee villainous, bad-guy woman characters too! Especially when they're well-written and well-executed — it's just such a joy to experience them 🔥 (I TBR'd Gone Girl after just realising I'd watched it but hadn't read it — truly a crime..) I hope ya have a lovely, relaxing weekend full of cozy reading in bed 🧡

I WAS thinking of you! And I remembered you said this weeks casual friday update would be later. 🐧🤗💗 I'm glad your 9-5 struggles are past, I'm currently going through some of my own 😓 Ive been going through it personally too, I recently had to cancel a vacation I was looking forward to and even though recently ive really been getting into self care, working out more, smelling nice, (I LOVE my coco butter lotion and green apple scented shampoo🥰) and washing my face, but i dont know, I do all that and then eat half a meal a day and a spoonful of peanut butter and call it dinner lmao 😅😭 Also, while Ididn't read the book but I really enjoyed the Gone Girl movie. Rosamund Pike was amazing in it! As for a book club update I got a lot of progress on The Return of the King, about 70% done. I think my favorite part of going through the Lord of the Rings books is seeing how different the movies are, which by now I've seen like 2 dozen times and I'm not ashamed to admit it. 😅 Goodnight Dungarees! I hope you have a relaxing Saturday, and here's to many more patreon posts! (and I promise not to tell anyone about the deleted post🤐🫡)
