"Book Club" updates
Currently Reading
Fury Bound (Sable Sorensen)
Still halfway thru, might soft dnf till I get the audio version. I can't see myself reading the rest of this when I have more pressing books to read.
Flower of Templar (M Sweetbriar)
This is difficult to read for me, I think it might need some editing? I'll keep reading though
Arcana Academy (Elise Kova)
I've been interested in more "card" based magic since reading One Dark Window so I picked this one up.
The Catholic School (Edoardo Albinati)
If I read this it will likely be the longest book I have ever read (and maybe will ever) I'm like 10 pages in
Finished
Lucy Undying (Kiersten White)
I've read these themes of vanity/motherhood/beauty/predators better in Rouge by Mona Awad and I've preferred other sapphic vampire books
A Long Time Dead (Samara Breger)
This was much more focused on the romance between the two women over any sapphic vampire book I had read and it lead to a much more cosy feeling book and I really did like it.
Light Wielder (Rachel Schneider)
I finished it, I really don't think I will continue the series
The Love Trials (Claire Fraise)
A fun ride
Between Tides and Thunder (Leena Kazak)
I can only assume this is the last airbender au fanfic
Speak of the Demon (Stacia Stark)
I've actually read (and dnfed) a few books by this author and I didn't realize it. I think this must be her urban/paranormal series? I won't be continuing it.
Upcoming Reads
The Brides (Charlotte Cross)
I couldn't walk by this without picking it up
Klara and the sun (Kazuo Ishiguro)
Author of my favorite novel Never Let Me Go

Klara and the Sun is so good! Ishiguro's decision to write a first-person story from the perspective of a child-coded, fem-gendered android might seem odd at first considering he's an older man from the UK, but it's sooooo well done! Klara's mind feels organic (despite being synthetic lol) and her way of experiencing the world is beautifully rendered.
The way he wrote "never let me go" was the best telling I've read about how it feels growing up as a young girl so he has all my confidence! Digging into it today!
Casual Friday!!! i’m listening to this on a Saturday though 🤣 your cat meowing in the background is so adorable~ 🥰 i’m really excited for NNN! i really like the idea of omegaverse, it’d be really cool to see if it goes in that direction but catgirl is amazing too! i love your purring~🤤 returning books late is naughtier 😏 (i also always end up staying up all night reading 🤣) love your sapphic vampire journey! if you haven’t had a chance to read Kingdom of Immortal Lovers: House of Crimson Hearts by Ruby Roe i highly recommend! her books are amazing and this series is hands down my favorite of all her books! thank you for this week’s Casual Friday, i always love hearing updates from you~ i hope you have an amazing weekend, take care of yourself and sending lots of love 💕 also love the tiny stomach noises ☺️✨
Casual Friday with cozy soft-spoken vibes... lovee 🧡 A lil overview of November hyped me up even more — it’s gonna be fun to see how your improve shapes it. Very late-night reads are in no way innocent, but returning books late is wayy naughtier in my eyes.. (meanwhile, me reading a book 4 hours before I need to wake up for a flight... whoops 😈) Ahh, I love this sapphic vampire journeyy of yours so much. Thank you for sharing about 'Lucy Undying'. I was on the fence about whether I should push it up the list, and your reviews have been scoring so far for my taste — so I may put a pause on it and may check the Rouge instead. Cuz I’m definitely getting my hands on A Dowry of Blood after Sunburn (by Howarth). It’s said to have some heavy wlw yearning (which I’m very much in the mood for, even if it’s not vamps) . I just peeked at what The Brides is about... and ohhh... I’ll be sooo looking forward to your take on it 👀 I’m like halfway through Whalefall (a lil read by the pool xd), and oh myyy, I am likinggg ittt so farr. Hope ya have a lovely weekend! 🧡 (Get those late-night reads 😈)
Cat in Dungarees cameo!!😭🤗🐈 that meow was so cute! So I woke up super early today and started my day with your new audios, perfect start to my Friday imo. 😍 I also submitted an idea for your NNN audios. 🤗❤️ And I cant wait for that Audrey Horne inspired audio, I had the biggest crush on her, and Shelly too 😅(future audio idea?👀) Also, when it comes to catgirl audios I am always totally in favor of them, your catgirl voice is adorable!🥰🥰🥰🥰 Also as for our book club, I'd like to mention that since last weeks casual Friday on a Monday I finished Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky last week, and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte this week, and omg I didn't know how DRAMATIC Jane Eyre was 😱 I knew of the book but didn't know anything ABOUT the book lol 😅 and I already have planned to watch the 2011 movie adaptation tonight. Sending you a big hug, Dungarees! I hope you have a nice weekend!! I love you!🐧🤗🌹
