Happy casual Friday, OR IS IT? [Casual "Friday"] [October Plans] [Book Club Updates] yapping on the new [Spiderman] movie but no spoilers really and [Overworking] myself

Helloooo I am freshly back from seeing spider man! I am a marvel girlie though so I won’t hold it against you if you’re not big on superheroes. Having said that I would say the film was good but… I feel like it was more of a stepping stone film for them to set up for the new age xmen films and young avengers plot potentially. I totally see your view of it mostly being about overworking and pushing through. I think marvel has recently had a big push of plot lines about how isolating yourself rarely ends positively. Like i would say it was a big theme in thunderbolts and that’s kind of ran into Spider-Man too? And the ever present theme of a hero has to accept the things about themselves they don’t like to ultimately become stronger. I am waiting on doomsday to hopefully have more Yelena on screen though. In Florence Pugh we trust! I am yet to see the O-dussy (I giggle everytime you said it) but I follow blindly for anything Anne Hathaway is in. I am a faithful subject of the Queen of Genovia Glad you’re feeling better and feel like you’re getting back on top of things! Hope you have manage to have your chill out weekend 😅

Mellow Monday with a lil’ Mayhem ✨ Ahh, soo excited to hear the book club update — the heart is full 🧡 Not gonna lie, I’m especially excited to hear your Lucy Undying review! Ahh yess, the bunker audio extends! IRL content is awesome. Honestly, that stretching video already feels like it’s gonna be a lil’ chaos, and I can’t wait xd Spiderman felt like lil’ potato stuff and Odyssey like big potato stuff xdd As a fan, it was great, but generally, a fine movie. I dunno, I came out feeling like it was a bit of a filler movie for me in a way. Like, cool, we got to see Spiderman’s abilities and potential at their peak and I do think Jean’s telepathic wave briefly bypassed that memory-wiping spell and made MJ subconsciously feel that errased history. But as you said, I would’ve loved to see them dive a lot deeper into the whole identity crisis aspect. But then again, Marvel is action-core... so that's that. I feel like Thunderbolts was one of those that actually dove into the characters’ mental trauma a lot more than other movies, and I found that so refreshing and cool. And let me not even get started on Moon Knight, because that series is truly phenomenal — the exploration of DID and a fractured mind trying to heal. And I know what you mean about the IRL video, its fine, and doesn't push or cross any boundaries, but ugh, youtube just sucks so much lately. But anyway, I hope you have a really productive week Dungarees! Also, If you remember I was torn between which book to pick next after finishing "Sense and Sensibility" and in the end I picked "A Farewell To Arms" by Hemingway, and im already 10 chapters in. 😊
