I’m sooooo late to this casual Friday that it’s now the following Thursday! How bad of me! I mean, Girlfriend coughs in your mouth and sniffles in your ear so you can both call in sick, sounds like an adorable cozy sleep aid idea to me 😜 I’m glad to hear that you’re feeling much better though lovely! ☺️ still lots of R&R for you! I’m pretty much finished The Girl Who Bit Me, now I can say I would rec it’s a very easy read and doesn’t need a lot of concentration so it’s my bedtime read. I am yet to start the miseducation of Cameron post due to life things getting in the way. Admittedly I started carmilla a few months ago and dnf’d it was supposed to be my quick bedtime read but I just kept falling asleep 🫣 but I hope you like it! Hope you’ve had a good week and i will get better at listening to casual Friday on an actual Friday 😅
I ended up starting and finishing carmilla while half watching a little world cup! I did like it but what I liked THE MOST about it was the editor Carmen Maria Machado because her asides/insights were the absolute best and made me cackle
Very glad to see you’re starting to mend and feel a lil better after such an exhausting week Also, sooo excited to see you enter a sapphic vampire book era. Super excited for the book club updates (as usual)! I swear your “cough in your mouth/sniffle in your ear” had me giggling through the whole Casual Friday xdd Ohhh, the sick n raspy voice I love... — as long as you're being gentle with yourself <3 (tbh, it’s still yet to be discovered which Dungarees voice type isn’t sexy 👀) Hoping you have a smooth recovery and a soothing weekend — gotta keep that recovery % up!🧡
get well soon dungarees! stay hydrated and get well rested! you’ll be reading carmilla?! i’m so excited for that!!
Happy to hear you’re almost on the mend! I’ve always personally liked hearing the raspy voice side of yours but obviously do not hurt yourself more to keep anyone happy lol
Aww im sorry Dungarees 🤧 I hope you get well soon! 🥰 And I'll still send you virtual hugs so theirs no worry of getting me sick, you know these penguin hugs are always yours! 😅🐧🤗💕💕💕 Also for my own book club update I finished the Scarlet Pimpernel and this book i really did enjoy! It had some mystery, romance, drama, and it was a period piece too. If I had a dollar for every audiobook in the last year I've listened to that took place in France and England between the years of 1650 and 1850 id have 6 dollars 😅 Thank you for your casual Friday audio, and still making if even though you're sick. 🤗🌹 you're amazing Dungarees, I love you! Have a restful weekend!
