Development Diary № 44

Hello, friends. The Esterium project continues to transform into a full-fledged game. I thought long and hard, and decided to remove the ability to create a male character from the game. I myself almost never play as men if there's a choice, and your voting showed that you agree with me. Supporting two genders can significantly increase the amount of necessary effort, so away with the male protagonist (the futanari version is still available). But this is not a final decision. Perhaps in the future I will reconsider this issue.

I also changed the concept of the world itself. The idea of infinite reincarnations did not justify itself for many reasons. Now characters will die forever.

What else has been added:

• A map of the area has appeared to make it easier to navigate. It will open gradually as you explore the world.

• You can now sleep in the camp. To go rest, your protagonist must eat something.

• In the cave you can extinguish and light the fire (materials for kindling are needed).

• Added weapons for characters with high intelligence (fire projectile rune)

• Several new locations and quests, new items, a new type of enemy, and 2 new female NPCs.

• Almost all characters are now displayed in locations.

• And this is far from everything. There are many changes (almost 5000 new lines of code), and work is still ongoing.

Taking this opportunity, I want to ask those of you who have played the latest version of Bright Past and can evaluate the updated translation of the first part of the main story? I would really like to hear feedback from native English speakers.
