PsyAmb 149 - Directions in Dub [ Mix Download ]

Pack your bags and dust off your astral passport as it’s time for another wander down the shimmering tributaries of psychedelic dub. This particular journey takes a slightly different path, as I’ve set out to net a few lesser-spotted sonic species — tracks that haven’t yet wriggled their way onto the PsyAmb mix series. Mind you, one seasoned old traveler has snuck back in , because what’s a voyage without a familiar face eh ?

Now, nestled in among basslines, you’ll also stumble upon a fresh tune from Children of the Bong courtesy of their rather marvelous new release "Sirius Versions" on Bandcamp. The album is a swirling re-imagining of their classic 1995 album Sirius Sounds, with just the right pinch of dub, a swirl of trance, and a cheeky wink of psy-funk. It’s refreshing, rejuvenating, and altogether rather splendid.

To accompany this musical saunter, I’ve whipped up a spot of original artwork for the YouTube video so do pop by and take a look when you find a spare moment.

Thank you ever so much for your continued support of the mix series here on Patreon. It’s hugely appreciated and also rather heartening. Like a hot cup of soup on a cold winters night. It keeps the spirits up and the journey moving forward. Hopefully with each step sounding just a little better than the last.

Cheers,

PsyAmb
