Desert Stalker Steam release announcement
Hey everyone, this has been long overdue. This is a public post just to let everyone know that the beta is going to be uploaded on Friday the 6th.
After that phase, the release will go its usual path. Expect a big new event, open world content and a reworked early game (expect some scenes to be "expanded"...)
That said, the main reason for this post is...
Desert stalker will become available on Steam on 13.12.2024 for $ 17.99 !
We are still working hard to polish the game as much as we can, that's why the beta testing will be extended. Lots of potential bugs we need to fix.
I thought of saying "We hope you enjoy the next update" but I am confident that the wait will have been worth it. :)

So, do patrons get access to the steam game somehow? or would i need to purchase it?
Will the game have regional pricing? cuz 18 bucks is about R$100 (Brazil), and thats crazy expansive, almost a AAA game price
Whatever regional pricing steam will adjust to. We don't have our own regional pricing
I will admit I stopped supporting a few months ago, as I know am going to buy the steam version. Steam release is a fantastic achievement, especially given your game is a step above from most of the Visual Novels out there. Gonna buy it right when available, and I am hoping you will get the buyers - and revenue - that your long, long, long effort deserves. Keep up the great work. And keep going... I am hoping you already have a project in mind for when Stalker is finished!
After Steams new membership changes I don't buy from them if I can find a game some where else. At the same Time what do I get paying you in three months what I can own for on Steam?
Patreon will still get earlier access to updates in the future, as well as the weekly devlogs and monthly wallpapers. The early access is for technical reasons and because as you say monthly support means a lot.
so will steam only be getting 0.0x updates and not the a/b/c patches?
Steam will get everything that you get on here too. We will patch it of course too

The beta is uploaded for the beta tier, eventually it will go public after the early access

Why the game is not availible yet? Or is it only for exclusive members for a priod of time? If yes? Then how long for the public release?
this will only be a beta release for bugfixing for beta tier supporters, it will take some time so the public release will take more than a week unfortunately. we will publish exact dates soon

Congratz on the Steam release! I hope you keep the Patreon updated aswell,because all the adultVNs are blocked in Germany. Some VN devs abandon their Patreon fanbase and just keep the Steam build active. I hope you're different, please be different ;)
