[Poll 1-A] UPDATED BUFFY REPLACEMENT
https://forms.gle/9xEUYGe8YmkBRUnT9
We realized that previous poll was allowing people to vote multiple times. So... We have to do it again!! YAY!!! Sorry. It's the same link but we will be removing responses submitted by now. So please cast your vote again.
Help us narrow down choices for a show that will replace Buffy, so we are publishing first poll that is open to everyone! We get recommended a lot of shows, so we need your help to narrow this list down to FIVE choices. You will notice that there are few shows where few of our names are listed who are not interested in watching or re-watching. We do not have concrete crew for each show but definitely want to note who will NOT be on the couch.
- Poll 1-A: Poll 1-A: This is a public poll that includes shows that we have been recommended that matches Buffy audience interests. Multiple choice is allowed. This poll will end on Midnight EST Monday Oct 28.
- Poll 1-B: Next Tuesday, top 5 picks will be re-posted in a new and final poll to paid members on our website to decide which winning show will replace Buffy
P.S. Happy Voting!

hopefully we see From again on the Bear replacement poll.
god i sure hope it is interview with the vampire
Alas, Xena will never get picked by the majority because it's a bit slept on, but it is truly a fantastic show that needs more love, and is a spiritual precursor and compatriot of Buffy. If anyone is interested in a great podcast about it, Xena: Warrior Podcast discusses and analyses every episode and it's great fun!
No interest for SEVERANCE????
Man i hope yellowjackets makes the cut, i just binged it and the show is just like an unhinged lost and im here for it
Veronica mars
Dollhouse
'The Vampire Diaries' series is a well improved version of buffy the vampire slayer with way more hot ladies introduced into it. As for the 'From' series, it is the most captivating horror series out there. Finally where is the 'Supernatural' series option...?
While I am a huge fan of The Vampire Diaries, I don't think it's better than Buffy. TVD has better lore and better villains, but Buffy is overall a better, more consistent story - which is not to say that TVD is bad. It has some really great seasons and moments and is VERY entertaining.
I would love for Veronica Mars to win!! It's one of my favourite shows. It would also be a quick 3 season watch before committing to sth super long again. I really really hope it gets a chance!
I only voted for Twin Peaks because I don't want anything else to win, lol.
No Rana on The Sopranos? 😭
She has sadly already seen it
The vampire diaries is by far the best show on that poll.
Um, excuse me but Battlestar Galactic and Fringe would like to have a word. Lol. And that's coming from someone who watched TVD for the first 5-6 seasons and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Also when the fuck are you guys going to start one piece. I love you guys please you will love it.
Yo why is supernatural not on there.
Remember everyone, this first one is just to see which top 5 will be put on the second poll to actually win, just because dr who is losing to vampire diaries here doesn't mean it'll lose the second poll
The lack of supernatural is in direct defiance of God's will!
I like tvd but its honestly heart-breaking that it's winning rn on a list with some of these other shows.
Rooting for The Sopranos or Gilmore Girls
dang........ionly picked Sopranos an Oz would be dope on patreon...
Yay vampire diaries is still winning.
Whovians are rallying! Let's make it happen y'all!
Come on Charmed, Xena or Interview with the Vampire
Whenever I see someone put up Penny Dreadful it's an instant vote from me, even if it'll never get half the votes of the winner.
FRINGE , but I also love most of the other choices too! Stargate, Star Trek, & Doctor Who & Battlestar Galactica are rest of my top 5. Love to see more SciFi reactions.
You all have failed to acknowledge Mr. Kyle MacLachlan as Special Agent Dale Cooper, with a huge "HELLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....." during the Fallout reactions. You must now watch all of Twin Peaks, including the movie in it's entirety. . . with Pat. . . as punishment.
Fringe Fringe Fringe! It's a great mix of Buffy, Lost and X-Files vibes.
Who in the cheesy badly acted heck is voting for TVD
I know right smh
Did they already watch Charmed? Why hasn’t that been suggested yet?
Twin Peaks (Season 1)
Veronica Mars could be a great replacement. It is filled with lots of twists and unexpected surprises. You will definitely enjoy it
From. From is currently the best captivating horror tv show series out there. Supernatural is great too. The Vampire Diaries is a greatly improved story of buffy the vampire slayer.
yellowjackets!!!!
Good one!
As much as I love Supernatural it overstayed it's welcome.. by like 8-10 seasons lol depending on who you ask
You made the right choice
Twin Peaks would be amazing, the most unique show I've ever seen
I am recommending Chuck to be in the mix. 2007 SF/romance/comedy/superhero TV show. I think you will like it.
Chuck mentioned, let's go!! Still one of my comfort shows, after all these years.
TVD please
You can't go wrong with almost any of those choices, but Veronica Mars and Freaks and Geeks are both very special shows. And VM filled that Buffy void for me as it premiered the year after Buffy left the air.
Guys vote Xena!
Angel Season 5 as reactions instead of Uncuts after Buffy end
they've already started posting yt reactions for angel, it'll be a while till they get to s5 though
I went for The Sopranos, Prison Break, 24 and Battlestar Galactica in this poll because they're the most 'classic' shows, and released around the same time as other classics from that era such as The Wire, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Lost & The Walking dead etc... I also chose Freaks and Geeks because I hadn't even heard of it until 2021, but when I 'discovered' it I couldn't believe just how good it was, and how well it held up considering it was made 20+ years ago and set 40+ years ago... I've not seen From or Banshee but they're on my list to watch and I've heard nothing but good things about both! Also, I'm not expecting you guys to watch them anytime soon but I maintain that the whole couch would LOVE these shows as well: 11.22.63 - 10 Episode Limited series Baby Reindeer - 7 Ep limited series Silo 3 Body problem Yellowstone - 1883 - 1923
Vampire Diaries? Guess my Paeteron days are coming to an end.
as much as I would love TVD to be a series on this channel I feel like it's gonna be unfairly criticized as being a "Buffy copycat"
No supernatural? No Smallville?
There should only be a few long running shows. It gives shorter shows a chance to keep rolling which makes the patreon have more variety.
Hoping for vampire diaries.
Xena Warrior Princess and Hercules Legendary Journey would be such a vibe and a great follow from Buffy\Angel
If not supernatural I hope it's Doctor WHO.
On the Supernatural train myself... Not to mention the great writers from Buffy that moved to Supernatural after BTVS ended.
It will be wild if Fringe is reacted to by The Normies before the Blind Wave reacts to it. Make that happen Patreon!
Going to add my voice to the "no supernatural?" crowd, its by far the most complimentary to Buffy/Angel. Also if Stargate gets the nod, then surely starting with the film? ;-)
No Supernatural???
Sometime back one of you guys said you'd eventually react to Supernatural (for those who haven't seen it) so I'm surprised it's not on here 🥲
VERONICA MARS
Get Smallville on here!
Interview with the Vampire. It is SO GOOD.
My vote to Fringe or Doctor Who. Lots of good suggestions but some like Heroes had some hard to watch seasons. Star Trek TNG might be good just hope there is an audience for.
Twin Peaks - but just Season 1.
omg fringe! it never wins anything because it somehow continues to fly under the radar!
It's arguably my all time favorite series, I think the issue is its one of those shows that's hard to hype up without explain what it's about
Man i been riding with yall on patreon for the whole buffy experience, its gonna be so weird when its gone. Ive known a few have seen lost but has any of the normies seen the leftovers?
At the very least Suraj and Navi have.
The only ones I voted for are: Interview With The Vampire Heroes Banshee Doctor Who Either Heroes or Interview would be AMAZING!
Would love some Doctor Who, but I already know Vampire Diaries is gonna win. Get it gurl.
I really want those doctor who reactions! And I will miss Rana in them, but still! NEED DOCTOR WHO!
I went for dollhouse, heroes and Doctor who. Why are some "Rana No." Is it coz she's seen them?
Either seen them, or doesn't want to.
I'd kill for Fringe.
I'd pull a Walter for Fringe
Eureka
Oh Eureka and Warehouse 13 would be so fun.
Really happy BSG is on their but no supernatural?
Cause it's 15 seasons. One Piece of live action shows.
X-Files!!!! Of the era, amazing television of the time. It is honestly the perfect replacement
Veronica Mars, hands down. Not trying to shit on charmed, because I've watched it, but that shit is B list. There's a lot of Buffy fans who love Six Feet Under too, but Veronica Mars is definitely more popular among us.
And Interview with a Vampire is criminally underrated. But Veronica Mars is more like it than anything.
LEGION! The best marvel show everrrrr, I already know it won’t win
Veronica Mars. I think that is their type of show. I would say Charm but I think they already saw that. Here's something out of left field. The X Files. But Buffy is sort of unique because of the vampire genre, action and romance for a weekly show. It's appeal was massive. OH SUPERNATURAL. That show is forever like IASIP. But I think some of seen it. Dexter is a good one too.
I understand ya'll are replacing a throwback so there would be a lot of throwbacks. But to an era of TV that really sucked and not very good. Heroes is the ultimate example of TV back then. Amazing concept, like the first 10 episodes were fuckin fire. Then the writers strike and everything went to hell. Reality TV became the new norm, the writers for TV went off to that cute little startup Netflix, went to HBO and Showtime, but a lot of what was left for "regular TV" was pretty bad. There were a few bright spots here & there. Lost kinda held on after the writers strike but even that wasn't the same...but still a better job than Heroes. If we were going for this era I would've recommended Chuck. It was a series that NBC just wanted dead. And I realize that Zachary Levi has become a bit of a problem celeb in the very recent history....I think he was ALLLLLLLLLLL about RFK Jr which should give you an idea of what I'm talking about. But the Chuck series is A CULT CLASSIC!!!! It seriously would fit the vibe of the Normies because it's got a bit of EVERYTHING!!! You like spy shit? There's plenty of CIA/NSA stuff happening. You like comedy? There's plenty of that and it's dialed into the Nerd Culture in a way that doesn't get 1-note like The Big Bang Theory. Instead of TBBT being like "haha, look at these nerds and how pathetic they are with relationships cause they're so awkward & different" Chuck is making jokes like "You've got a Zune? Nah, just kidding I'll get my iPod". Like jokes ACTUAL nerds would be making about nerdy things...and not basically MAKING FUN of a subgroup of people not being "socially normal". There's action, there's romance..... AND OMG THE CAMEOS!!! The cameos are THICCCCCCCC on Chuck. You've got Michael Strahan, Christopher Lloyd, Chevy Chase, Robert Englund (aka Freddy Kruger), Timothy Dalton (a fucking James Bond himself is a recurring character), and just WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too many to name. I really enjoyed Eric from Blindwave's reaction to Chuck and I feel like I've hyped myself up into seeing another one. It's also the show that discovered Maggie from The Walking Dead. It discovered Yvonne Stravhoski who has gone onto Dexter and Handmaiden's Tale. It stars Adam Baldwin...the beloved guy from Firefly who isn't a Baldwin. The music is also sick. I believe it's because the series was run by McG who had gotten his start as a music video director. So he had the hookup on ALL the needle drop badass musical moments. Anyway, Chuck was an amazing show with a cult following. The series was saved like THREE times from cancellation because the fans wouldn't let them do it. They went out and would campaign businesses to sponsor the show and that's what happens. Subway became their sponsor so you'd bet a hilarious Subway ad within the show and it kinda became a thing.....when would Subway make it's cameo again? Hell, if you guys were to choose Chuck I will have Subway uber-eats to your place.
Misfits. The Vamp Diaries and then add The Originals. Grimm.
Interview with the vampire!!
We can finally get them to watch Battlestar Galactica!!! LETS GO!
Darker than Black I want to win one day 😂it’s such a good anime . BK201 is badass
Stargate is consistently entertaining. From the first episode to the last episode, you're not going to have a lot of dull moments. The cast of characters are extremely enjoyable. We've been waiting a long time for a BSG reaction from a big reaction channel. Micky will geek out if this is selected. I would love for the crew to get into Star Trek as it's a fantastic science fiction franchise. The only problem is where to start. For The Normies, it might be best to start at Strange New Worlds. There's only ten episodes per season and the newest season will be premiering sometime around spring next year. The series is perfect for new viewers getting into the Star Trek franchise because one doesn't need to know anything about Star Trek when watching it. Strange New Worlds writing is such that it's a great starter series for a whole new generation of people interested in getting into Star Trek. I feel it has the best writing in Star Trek since Deep Space Nine.
Stargate is a show I'd love to see on here one day, but I don't think it'll win. If they ever get to it, they'd better do both SG1 and SGA. It would probably take them years to get through the show, but I'd be here for all of it. It's a good list overall. I'd be happy with most of these shows, even if I'd be happier with some.
INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE OH MY GOD YES
Star Trek next gen then Deep space 9 (best) then voyager
Fringe!!!!!!!
Oh that would be amazing if they started it before BW did lol
Hopefully, FROM wins... yeah, I know the outcome isn't so good.
VAMPIRE DIARIES
So many good choices! I was devoted to Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis for years! And I’d love to see more Doctor Who reactions! Which Star Trek would you be watching? Start with TOS? DS9? Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds are the best of Trek but you might not get the references without the older stuff.
We would likely do a vote on that but I was thinking TNG
Veronica Mars! Wish six feet under was an option 😔
Banshee! Let's go!
I am rooting for any Sci-fi show!
TFW you haven't seen any of these shows except Doctor Who lmao
No Severance? How dare.
Definitely something that would make the The Bear replacement poll
Vampire diaries fans . I think they will love the show . following buffy. Its more mordern too. Heroes I haven't seen past season 1 .
I voted for the vampire diaries too. Even though I don’t think I’ve seen vampire diaries past season 5 .
I would love Stargate SG1 to have some proper reactions! Though I know it probably won't win. Hopefully one sci fi show does, Star Trek or BattleStarllt least. Banshee is also a banger as a non sci fi show.
a poll we can participate in :)
Oh, wow Legion is on the list? That's such a good show.
Hoping for Gilmore girls or Veronica Mars to pull through 🤞🏾
Should make everyone watch Lost
👀
We talking Star Trek as in Captain Kirk or Captain Picard? I mean I know the name would suggest the former, but it’s kind of like ‘Star Wars’ where it can refer to both a specific part of the franchise or the franchise as a whole.
Voted on this but also want to throw out there an idea for future possible polls. Slow Horses is an exceptional British spy thriller series, often quite funny, it's on Apple TV and already has 4 seasons of 6 episodes in just 2 years since it started. Gary Oldman is incredible in it. Would make a great reaction series. Just saying.
Heroes is so good, me and my brother still mad they cancelled it because the audience was "confused" but honestly not the best reaction show because of all the back and forth. From is very underrated.
BEFORE ANY OF THESE SHOWS YOU HAVE TO REACT TO THE CULT CLASSIC BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER MOVIE. Without this movie there is no series.
7 year subscriber here: FROM should be reacted to regardless. Perfect for reactions. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 You have to do DOLLHOUSE. It shouldn't come down to a vote. You have done all Joss Whedan shows now except for that one. ALIAS is probably most similar to buffy for reactions because of the deeper mysteries. FRINGE, BATTLESTAR GALLACTICA make sense. SOPRANOS is arguably the greatest tv show of all time and I've been trying to get you guys to react to it for 7 years lol. FREAKS AND GEEKS is great and short and fun. I won't watch it nor have i seen it but DOCTOR WHO probably makes sense too. I'm sure you will get a good audience.
Gilmore Girls with just the guys would be jokes lol this is a good line up
Xena is peak and Legion is slept on.
So excited to see Prison Break! Also I feel like Gilmore girls with only guys would be a hilarious reaction series.
Legion is never going to win but it is definitely one of most unique and well made shows I've ever watched. Plus, its also connected to the X-men universe
I’m down for Veronica Mars
100000% my vote. Followed closely by Freaks and Geeks.
Such a missed opportunity that Teen Wolf isn’t in the mix of choices . I know its kind of campy like but DAMN was it some good TV.
Wow, fringe is in 4th! I'm both happy and suspicious.
Could the Normies react to Fringe before Blind Wave?
24 fuck yeh
From! It’s so goood! It would make for AMAZING reactions
Buffy has been a fun ride sad it’s coming to end
hopefully, they at least continue the Angel YouTube uploads.
Yo some stacked choices. Happy to see xena get some love despite being a long shot.
Hoping for vampire dairies just to get to the originals
I heart The Originals so much.
Yo let’s pile all the gabagool on that Sopranos vote why don’t we 🔥
Just start Buffy over again.
😂
