A Realistic "ATL" Hood | Sims 4 Neighborhood
I know I've been gone for a while and I sincerely apologize! As a Big Thank You for sticking around here is the highly requested hood neighborhood I created in The Sims 4.
Yes! I got 5 different realistic lots for your game!
This is a multipart download, but please fill free to download which lot(s) you want. You don't have to download every single lot.
Tips to make your neighborhood feel more realistic
You'll need the T.O.O.L mod by TwistedMexi
Sadly, all of the deco and objects I placed off lot won't be included in the download, but here are some tips to make your game have a more realistic feel
When looking for inspiration of "hood" neighborhoods in real life, I noticed they are cluttered to bits. Fill in the spaces of your neighborhoods; add trees, bushes, flowers, debris, and deco buildings everywhere (it's never too much). The more you add the more you will see your game drift from that default maxis look.
These are the electric poles you see in my neighborhood, a must have for a more realistic look.
Add functional objects off lot. NPC sims walking around your neighborhoods will be able to use these objects. So, place basketball goals, benches, stereos, barbeque pits, and picnic tables, then see your neighborhoods come to life.
Here are my go-to realistic lighting and texture mods
Tech Hippie - Replacement Textures
Luumia - No Blu
Softerhaze - Lighting mod - Try each one and see which one you like more
ConceptDesign97 - Realistic Trees
Alf-si - Default Replacement for Trees, Grass, and Bushes
Important
You'll notice these invisible fences placed around the lots especially around cars. They are there to direct the "flow of traffic," so sims won't walk through cars and stick to sidewalks
When placing lots remember to turn on bb.moveobjects to make sure everything on the lot is placed. If something seems to be missing from the lot, try placing it again while playing on the lot.

anybody know if this still works
I understand this was made years ago but I was just wondering if their was an updated version because most of the houses have purple and blur coloring on the walls with question marks and so do the fences.
Well apparently 5403 had nearly 50 items missing.
When I placed every single lot, there were multiple items that said they were missing and either removed or replaced. The houses only had about 15 or so, but the strip mall had almost 100 items missing. And I just downloaded all of the pieces.
Are these up to date?
Where do the trays go?

Hey for some reason my sims won’t walk into the houses the sidewalks aren’t functional for me … is anyone else also having this problem ?

I downloaded the soul food restaurant and when I placed it created a blue fog type thing all around the lot ?? Is there a colour mod doing this that I could delete ?
Make sure you have bb.move objects on before you place the lot
I have made sure bb.move object is on but still no cc it was there before the last update but now it's gone
All the cc buy/build object are removed from the game when lots are place is there a fix for this

heyy Do i need to have all the packs in order to download the lot exactly as it shows in the picture ? i downloaded the lot but 565 items were missing
At the moment, I don't believe you should need every pack. That many items missing might be another issue. When downloading builds, you have to make sure you have a file extractor installed on your computer. This is what opens the .rar files. Once the .rar file is open, there should be two folders; the "tray" folder files go in your tray folder. The "mods" folder cc goes in your mods folder. Also, before you place the lot down, turn on the "bb.moveobjects on" cheat. If off, the cc won't appear.
Hello all the files are being downloaded as internet explorer files? My computer is unable to extract for some reason. Im on windows.
Hey, you need to download a free file extractor program like WinRAR, 7zip, or winzip.
i am confused on how i do the lighting mod. which do you do? are you still using reshade as well? can i use the ConceptDesign97 - Realistic Trees Alf-si - Default Replacement for Trees, Grass, and Bushes if i am using all of the Tech Hippie - Replacement Textures including the nature one?

I downloaded everything and I didn’t find it so I downloaded it from the library and now majority of the items are missing. I did bb.moveobjects and most of the stuff is missing

Umm , it's not showing up in my game. Mods are in the mods folder and tray is in the tray folder without subfolders but it's not showing to download in game. Help ?
