about the boobtober...

Hey guys, some of you have asked me about sponsoring spots for the Boobtober, and I haven't answered because I can't seem to set a price or even come up with a plan.

You see, these challenges are usually really overwhelming for me, and what I had in mind to do (while still working on my usual content) was to do doodles, simple drawings, things that aren't very detailed or finished. That's why I don't know what price to put on something like that since I don't sell those at all. I also feel pressured to do a complete or more polished piece when there's money involved.

So I still don't have a clear idea of a fair price that works for both of us and won't drive me crazy with stress in the process.

If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears. Otherwise, I'll keep thinking about ways to make some money with the challenge while also giving those who like my art a nice piece they'll be happy with.

I think for non colored sketches $40-$70 is a fair range. If the character/theme is simple it could be on the cheaper end. If the character has a complicated design or the theme of the day is more involved than a higher price. If you’re loving the sketch and want to add some color or more detail then the price could go up as well. Either way I think you’ll do a great job but don’t stress if you need to take a day or two off. Have fun! 0w0

"Affordable, and you KNOW your fans won't mind the wait if you're getting slowed down by other things milady.. Goddess knows I SURE WOULDN'T"T mind the wait for your fine sweet erotica!

If youre having trouble figuring out how to price it, I'd suggest looking at other artists commision sheets to see how artists charge for sketch and flat color commisions. Usually people break down commision prices into smaller prices for steps in the art process: Theres a price for lineart Theres a price for adding flat coloring And there is a price for fully rendering the drawing after adding flat coloring. Prices aren't always the same for each step and they also vary based on the how much of the body is being drawn and if a background is included. Also don't feel bad about not making fully rendered commissions. Artists sell them all the time.

Usually for sketch style with simple color I'm used to around $75 to $100. Especially if it's nsfw. For cell shaded better line work around $150. But don't sink so much time into them you lose out. Your time is valuable too Michi.

You have an audience large enough that you could do a raffle, everyone who's interested in getting a spot could enter their name into the raffle and you pick at random. Once someone's been chosen they pay for the spot and if they can't you spin the raffle again. Anyone that can't, unless they can give a reason is removed. Plus it also lets you do the raffle as many times as you need people rather than being under pressure to get everyone on a list into your art.
