Apple iOS subscriptions
Hi!
Just a quick update.
If you don't use the iPhone for the subscription you can skip this.
Short Story
No iOS payment will be possible from November.
Long Story
Apple requires a certain type of subscription from November, otherwise they block the payments from Patreon.
There would be a way to avoid this, but the drawback is that you or me would need to pay up to 50% more for each subscription on Apple devices. I don't want to pay Apple for their closed payment system more than I pay Patreon (3x) or what I pay in taxes (2x), thus I decided that it is not worthy.
They just transfer money from your credit card to Patreon and they ask for 50% commission, it's insane. :/

Is there any viable way around it? Perhaps another way to make the payment?
Sure, you can always use paypal or credit card on the browser, even from iOS. The problem is just the Patreon in-app payments. :)
