Interlude -- Cormeng (Pt. 2)
Just as promised the second chapter is out! Let me know in the comments on the chapter if you'd prefer this or 4 updates a month...assuming I keep splitting chapters like this. Don't expect them to be this long and get ready.
They found something. (37,300 Words)

Breaking the chapters up... I personally actually think that's the way it should always have been, and in a way where you are still creating backlogs, so vacations aren't a thing.. emergency happen? Got backlog. Summer vacation? Np, got backlog. Writers block? Np, got backlog, can do take a week off. Consistency should be key.
Thank you for a very moving and exciting story! I was ranting and raving to my family about how good the writing is! I loved this interlude! Cant wait to read more
I like four smaller updates a month! Having TWI 4/30 days is much better than only having it 2/30 days a month
4 short/split chapter a month please. Having weeks off with no Inn content will kill the pace imo. Thanks Pirateaba, we love you! Take care of yourself, that's what I'm trying to do haha
Yes yes yes to breaking up chapters! A thousand times yes!
Personally, I’d prefer 4 updates a month because I do such a terrible job pacing myself. I always promise myself I’m going to make a chapter last at least a week and then invariably end up staying up till 2 in the morning and finishing it in two days. It’s not your job to save me from myself but I sure wouldn’t mind…
I think a more easily described schedule works better than one where two weeks are (very!) full and others are empty. By all means *write* on an Inn/Inn/Other/Off pattern if that's what works for you, but I don't think *posting* on that 1/1/0/0 pattern would help readers keep track of what's going on and whether we're in an 'on' or 'off' week. Whether you'd rather post weekly (0.5/0.5/0.5/0.5), fortnightly (1/0/1/0) or even monthly (2/0/0/0) is ultimately your choice, but you're rarely short of potential splitting points. Just be careful, as Helen of Boy says, that the word count stays reasonable! Even a half-chapter by TWI standards is long compared to many other authors' installments and even some published books; your 0.5/0.5/0.5/0.5 would be comparable to anyone else's 1/1/1/1.
If this new schedules helps you do your art in a way you’re happy with, then I’m happy with it. Just please don’t pull a JRR Martin on us. That would hurt my heart.
I like this Saturday and Tuesday way a lot.
Thank you for the wonderful chapter. Personally, I enjoy having a longer reading session once a week instead of two smaller chapter parts separately. Fantastic work on cormeng. Cheers
I’m new here & need help transitioning from reading the Kindle versions to the Patreon publishing. I have read through Book 19 via Kindle, so where do I start here? I am in love with this series & don’t want to miss any chapters. Can anyone guide me, plz & thx.
Not sure if you've found it yet, but the Table of Contents on the website has an option to compare the ebook chapters to what's posted there. I believe the next chapter would be in Volume 7 - Interlude – Saliss the Adventurer. You should be able to just click on that chapter and start reading.
My vote is for 4 updates a month, of shorter or these split chapters. That way it's something to look forward to each week. I always disliked in the previous setup there'd be one week of nothing, after 3 weeks of a chapter every week. Was very jarring, even though I knew it was going to happen. That's my 2 cents.
Great arc loved these chapters. On another note I guess I would prefer one long Saturday chapter then a split chapter. I love spending hours reading a new chapter as soon as it comes out. But whatever makes your mental health better and keeps your creativity flowing is the option you should go with. I hope this story continues for 20 years. PS. Even if they finish off all the big badguys I would love 500 chapters about them living happily ever after forever 😉!!!
Great chapter and loved the Carnival! I most definitely prefer the 4 chapters a month approach. Smaller chapters are nice but also gives a sense of more filling. But do whatever you feel best fit you in the end Pirate.
How did nerhavia knew about the shop? She is older than 974 years?
Absolutely fabulous, though I now definitely need to see how the very end of it pans out 🥰 Was hoping for it but somehow hasn't twigged that was what has been enabled until it happened! I liked the Sat/Tues split, not sure I'd enjoy waiting a whole week for the second half of a chapter. Thank you!
I just loved 🥰 the ending. Thank you ‼️
What an absolutely brilliant arc! A rollercoaster of emotions. Amazing characterization of Doren, given so much depth with the addition of the others, and a splash of fan faves like Gothica. Very creepy villains. And the ending with the Grand Design—genius. Combine the arcs and publish as a novel. It's amazing. Thanks for writing!
I miss the old days: one chapter on Saturday and another chapter on Tuesday. The funny thing is, I used to have Saturdays off; now I have Wednesdays off, which helps me relax when I want to read something good and digest it. I enjoyed this chapter. Cormeng is kind of what I imagine the inn would eventually be like, or Erin offers to put an emergency door in the shop to help people who need saving. I kinda wish Toren was there. He would have helped a lot. Thanks you for the new chapters.
Finished the chaptwr and my goodness what a chapter it was. The new threats popping up, the different ways they are dangerous, and the absolute mystery surrounding them. It sends chills down my back and makes me just so excited. The break did you good, and I am so glad you are back and writing.
Sanctuary ends tyftc
Bloody clowns.
I prefer this method of updates. Great story on Cormeng’s and the Carnival. Perfect for October/Halloween. Thank you.
If you think splitting chapters like this is reliable, I think having one every week would be nicer. Consistency, and all that. BUT I worry that that'd lead to you just doing four chapters a month instead, which is the exact sort of thing your schedule is set up to prevent. Which, regardless of whether or not I'd like that in a hypothetical void, sounds like a losing proposition long-term. So it really depends on whether or not that'd even work for you, I guess? But I certainly wouldn't say no to them being spread out so I can keep getting my Inn fix more than half the time.
Yay. Reading time
Thank you [Amazing Author]!!!!
Thank you yet again. I love that this is the closest our world has to the never ending story. Lol
