The Vault of Foreseen Inncentives is opening!
You may be surprised to read this, but the pre-order campaign is still going on. And I am still asking for pre-orders to make the launch of the physical books a success! We are 56 days from the books hitting stores! It's coming at us fast! However, a lot of people have already done a tremendous amount and so I got to thinking.
'Why should I ask when I can give people something instead?' I always wanted to launch a Kickstarter-type project for the physical books. The fact that we partnered with HarperCollins actually changed that plan a lot...until now!
Presenting the Inncentives campaign, or the Vault of Foreseen Inncentives! To everyone who pre-ordered, this is a gift for supporting the story! Claim your books and when we hit milestones, we'll give out rewards! If we hit major milestones, I will offer HUGE incentives like writing a prequel to a popular character...or you can get a bookplate with my signature on it!
That's right, the marketing people bullied me into it. I will sign a few thousand with them literally hovering behind me and handing me more, and never again. So...if you ever wanted my signature, now would be a good moment to put in a claim because that's one of the finite gifts. And believe me, we're only going to do so many thousand of those at most before my hand gives out and I will never sign anything again if I can help it. Even bank checks.
...In all seriousness, though, I hope this makes the pre-order campaign more fun and lets you Patreons claim rewards as a thank-you again for being supporters who make all this happen. Hopefully we hit some of those goals and uh...I don't actually want to hit the biggest goal because it's a huge thing. But I will. Anything for the story, even if I dread it. Here we go!

To be honest the inncentive process is pretty cumbersome and probably doesn't capture the majority of pre-orders. At 1000 already just on the website I think that means TWI is doing very well. Let's keep it up and see that [New York Times Best-Selling Author] Pirate Aba

The window to upload a receipt keeps failing it just returns the error "Upload failed. Please try again." I've tried uploading a JPEG a PNG and a PDF. It's just a screen shot of the order confirmation email from Barnes and Noble with my address blurred.
Prequel about Relc or Folina would gain my money in a heartbeat

Might wanna make an official post on reddit and other social media to spread the word. Im off to fill out the order 3 times. Ordered 4 for my brother, he ordered 2 for me, and then I ordered thr other 2 for me
Could I get a clarification on the rules? The Terms and Conditions state that we're allotted (1) submission per receipt, but could be disqualified for submissions that "originate from the same participant". Am I allowed to submit multiple claims if I have multiple purchases with different receipts (and in this case, from different booksellers)? To be clear, I'm not looking to get multiple rewards for myself; I'd just like my purchases to count toward unlocking higher levels of rewards for everyone.
I thought the preorder was only available at Barnes and noble and was waiting til it came out on Amazon! Should announce it’s available on more platforms now, unless you did and I missed it.

On my country's amazon all the books after the first one are double the price for some reason. Do you know if this is a bug or mistake?

This is wonderful, thank you Paba. Part of what makes this series and fandom so special is the connections we form with both the characters and each other on a personal level. Characters are written in a way that makes them sympathetic & human even when they're not. Signatures may be a pita but, like all the inverse characters obsessed with autograph cards, I can't imagine anything I'd want more from the author of such a magnificent work of fiction. Maybe a working Wand of Mrsha but that's a tossup.

Amazing idea! Question, do we do two seperate claims if we bought books 1 and 2 on different dates, or just pick the first date and submit as 1 claim?
I believe FAQ says this is only for book 1. Another question might be: can we submit multiple claims if we bought multiple copies of book 1?
