I've always liked detective TV shows. Finding clues that eventually help them solve a case always seemed incredible. I thought Relc had the mind to investigate things because he loves puzzles. Detectives tend to find puzzles relaxing. [Senior Guardsman] + [puzzle master] = [special investigator]

Great chapter. Love seeing some Zevera action and love. Finally! Very confused by the “what’s the magic walled city gonna do shoot at us? They will miss” that had never ever been the case before. Everyone’s has been able to pinpoint hit a key area from across the world everytime. This is so out of a wack it kind of shakes things. Just like the palace of arc it feels like rules and concepts which have been ingrained in us are being moved around too much for the new narrative. In this case sure it makes the walled cities and kingdoms more restricted in what they can do. But like the palace of arc this is setting up a precedent that may cause confusion. It feels odd how nicely it was wrapped up. That feels wrong? Maybe the information got out at the right angel but narratives change. Info war and all that no? Also didn’t this walled city just lose a huge portion of its army in the palace of fate arc vs future rags? How is the mood not sombre there? The eyes of Pallas lady having the same starting letter as Zevera kind of confused me during their dialogue. Rlly enjoyed how the story all played out. Suprised by Kevin wacking the lady. Came out of nowhere. I’m not sure I fully understand Zevera and Kevin talk after the capture of the merchant. Was she saying hey I’m gonna do this morally questionable thing in baiting people because it may be illegal elsewhere but a) it’s not here and b)it will escalate if we do the right thing. Too many things it can spiral off into? Speaking of the merchant, I felt like part of the puzzle piece was a bit off compared to the rest. So he’s getting his people to saw off the bikes infront of the city and guild and no one cares? Not only that but they are stealing copy cat versions of the bike….why not just buy one if they just care about the tech? I get it’s hard doing these investigations stories though… u had this planned for a year? Oof I liked all the parts. Nicely done. I didn’t understand why having multiple classes makes you have different self’s fight each other that never seemed to be the case. I liked the concept but it’s just new. Why different voices though that others can hear that’s a unique detail. The concept of gnolls not knowing how much to lower their voice around others cus everyone’s deaf compared to them is a nice interesting idea. Adds layers to the world. I feel like lvl 30s seem a lot more human/mortal than before. I remember clown first chapter wayy back when it was that people with levels are buffer and stronger than those without or lower level. Body is even fit like they go to the gym. This seems to have completely changed too much in the other direction? Where it’s surprising why gym and such are not a thing in the first place if people aren’t getting naturally buff and strong. Now it’s lvl 50 galas muscles.
