Mythic Magazine #18
Woohoo! Mythic Magazine #18 is here and I'm especially excited about this one :) I had been wanting to expand on the original Meaning Tables for a long time. I figured it would be a part of Mythic Second Edition, but more and more I wanted to get this out there. When I proposed it on the content poll it got immediate interest, which I was glad for because now it's part of this issue!
So, this time around, we have:
Adapting The Event Focus Table To Your RPG: This introduces a variation on themed Focus Tables, but one made to represent what makes the RPG you are playing in unique and to have those elements highlighted in your adventure.
Specialized Meaning Tables: A new addition to the standard Meaning Tables, the Elements Meaning Tables offer themed and more specific tables to roll on to get more meaningful results.

One of the best issues yet. I immediately put the customizable Tae to use in a fantasy adventurers guild game. The guild is the character and various members are activated solo or in tandem to solve problems. (This allows for old school grittyness as the death or injured of any one character has a lower impact on the whole story, but I digress. ) I will be employing the element tables next session, but I already know they will be very useful
The character tables alone could have been this issue but we got so many. I plan on giving the character combat actions some use, running random encounters in a D&D game has been kinda formulaic and I see this helping set different tones for the encounters.
I'm glad you like them :) I'd love to hear how the tables perform in action for you. Playtesting them was a blast. I had wanted to write more play examples for this issue but I ran out of time.
With 30 additional Meaning Tables, this issue becomes instantly "core" Mythic material – excellent, Tana!

That is *so many tables* Tana. I love this! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't need to reach for another supplement ever again :D We're gonna use these constantly.
Groovy :) They were a blast to make. I plan to include all of these in Mythic Second Edition, and hopefully a lot more.
