Mythic Magazine Podcast #3
Greetings Mythicists! The Mythic Magazine Podcast returns for a third installment.
This time we return to the zombie apocalypse world setting that I started in the previous episode. I got as far as establishing the basics of this setting, that it involves a domed city in a zombie apocalypse future.
In this episode, I develop the History Paths to create a background for this world and find out how it got to be this way.

I am finally getting around to listening to these. So good! I totally love how you are taking us through your thinking. I went and listened to episodes of Me Myself and Die too. This is so incredibly helpful, listening to the Mythic rules just come alive.
Thanks :) I really enjoy talking my thought process out loud. I'm really glad it's helpful! Doing the podcast feels like writing the examples in the books, so I think in my brain expressing the process and the results feels like the natural thing to do.
Really loving the world history path! It's a great way to really flesh out what's going on in the world your character is playing in if you are not playing in a previously established world already.
Just caught up on all of these yesterday and they are great! I'd love to see (hear) you doing examples for all your products (Adventure Crafter, Location Crafter, etc). It really helps me solidify in my brain how to use them! Looking forward to what happens next in the Domes City!

Yes, the transcript for this episode is in the works! I plan to do this for each podcast, although the transcript will always follow a little later. Mel edits it to clean it up and make it read better, so I think it's worth the delay :)

Which tables did you use for the history paths?
I used a custom History table that I made just for History Paths. I'm still tinkering with it, but it's going to be the one used in Mythic RPG 2e for world creation. It's slightly geared toward words that have a more sweeping bent to them, to encourage large scale events, but with a smattering of narrative plot twist style words.
