Blair Witch Podcast Off-Cut
George, Elliot, and myself don't lightly consider a course of action like 'stop talking', much less actually embark on it with ease. So there's often a bit more of the podcast than you end up hearing. The Blair Witch conversation ran on for almost 40 minutes after we stopped, y'know, talking about the Blair Witch Project. And here it is.

George’s short story idea was not too dissimilar to my experience of Bowie’s death. It is obviously over-indulgence on my part, but when such a singular cultural figure in my life, second only to the whole of classic doctor who, simply stopped being, it did feel as if the world had ended in some way. I remember sitting up with my friend and watching the next sunrise, and actually being surprised that it did in fact rise. There’s a lot wrong with that, and it’s a bit embarrassing to have felt that way, but it felt very real at the time. But dehydration from several bottles of wine, and several bottles worth of tears, will do that.
It would be great to hear you do Scream. That one got me at just the right age and, while it’s not perfect, has a very special place in my heart
