Shabcast 41: Holly Explains Final Fantasy 7 to Jack, Part 1
Exclusive advance access for my patrons to the first part of a new, multi-part Shabcast in which my brilliant friend, writer and podcaster Holly Boson (@fireh9lly), takes me on a journey into a realm of which I was previously entirely ignorant, the complex labyrinth that is the Final Fantasy series of video games, especially Final Fantasy 7.
This first episode is an hour long and is just the preparatory context she needed to give me to set me up for the actual trip.
You're getting this at least a week before its public release, and will get all the remaining episodes similarly early. The final edition may be slightly re-edited with music, etc, but this is all the talking.
Enjoy.

I'm late to this series but I wanted to say that I absolutely love it.
This was excellent. I dunno if it's because I've not read enough but this was, intellectually, sort of like a flower blossoming in the brain - so smart, so much to think about.
This was sooo good
