Same Log 4.1 Quatermass and the Pit (1967)
The gang is back together! Elliot Chapman rejoins George Lea and myself to commence a new series. It's Spooktober 4, our SF/Horror cinema season!
Except... this can't be Spooktober, can it? What do we call it? Sparch?
Anyway... we commence a new series of podcast discussions about Horror cinema. This time we're tackling Science Fiction / Horror, and starting with Hammer's 1967 movie adaptation of Nigel Kneale's seminal BBC television masterpiece. London Underground Gothic, ghosts, psychic power, telekinesis, tweedy scientists vs khaki-clad fascists, fossils, apemen, insectile 'Martians', and all manner of unnerving lunacy ensue.
A more complex text than I have ever given it credit for. No large-boobed women in low cut dresses or huge giant men with blue faces though, despite the promises of the lying poster.

I had a funny thing happen to me recently where for some reason for a long time I was convinced you had done Robin Redbreast for Same Log, which I had never seen. I watched it recently and thought to myself "I can finally listen to the Robin Redbreast episode of Same Log" yet to my surprise it didn't exist!
At one point we were planning to do Robin Redbreast along with the surviving episodes of Dead of Night. I think we said so in an episode. That's probably where you got the idea.
the greatest movie podcast is back!
