The Shadow Out of Time (H.P. Lovecraft, 1936), with George Daniel Lea
George Lea and I convene for another Lovecraft Retrospective (which I'll file here as a Same Log, despite the sad lack of Elliot) to talk about H.P. Lovecraft's strange, neglected, undervalued, late masterpiece The Shadow Out of Time. For my money, this bizarre and ominous tale of mental time travel and cosmic, nay existential horror is one of HPL's very best works.

I would really enjoy more Lovecraft chats. I'm about 2 stories short of finishing the Complete Lovecraft and now I need some good analysis to chew on. Shadow Out of Time definitely made the strongest impression on me when I read it.

Seeing this entry for the first time, but the progress bar told me I had already listened to most of the podcast...馃槺
