[Rings] Monsters/Lore - Halofon & Signeryn

"When the two armies finally met on the broken plains, shattered by the wild displays of arcane magic from their generals, for the first time, there was no fighting - only a silent understanding between both parties. From there, Halofon and Signeryn led soldiers to ruin their family homes.

But what remained of the Shatterguard and Aelana homes was not enough for them. Driven by furious vengeance, their conquest continued until they found every last remaining member of their lineages, and so nations fell to their destruction. My platoon may have been simple mercenaries, but even the worst of men could not stand idly by and watch..."

- Excerpt from an anonymous soldier's journal during the conquest.

The two figures started out only as a glimmer of inspiration when I first created the Five/Ten rings, but now they have their own fleshed out lore. That's right - there will be another set of Five Rings belonging to Halofon to be released later this month, culminating in the compendium's eponymous Rings of Power. I can't wait to show you the final Artifact-level set when all ten rings are brought together.

Feel free to use this in your campaigns as required! I would love to run something like this - it would probably serve as the basis for my next one.

I plan on creating a few more of extended lore with these monsters, especially something related to the Toll Takers. If I still have more time, I'll try to craft some simple setting pieces, especially around the broader, unexplored Sonorous Order. All this extra stuff will be exclusive for Patrons at the $5+ level!
