SPOILER! Modular Fireplace to our new Framework Collection
Yesterday, I spent the day modeling and adjusting UV maps to bring the first prototype of modular fireplaces to life. It was challenging, though not for the obvious reasons: the TSR [Workshop] tools and the process of exporting fireplaces so they appear in the correct category are not very user-friendly. There seems to be an export error where:
1- Only actual fireplaces show up in the "Fireplaces" category.
2- In fact, not even a single fireplace appears in that category.
I discovered that it depends on the version you’re using. However, since we are creating modular fireplaces—meaning only one part functions as an actual fireplace, while the rest are essentially tables with different geometric shapes—I ran into a bit of a dilemma that took up hours of my time:
1: Should the parts that aren't "fireplaces" in terms of gameplay interaction—but are still part of the model—be placed in the "Pillars" or "Arches" category instead?
2: Should I keep them hidden from the main catalog, making them available only through a "Collection"? I just tested this approach, and it works. Please let me know which option you prefer so I can adjust accordingly.
*These pieces are temporary; I still need to rotate the UVs so that the bricks are oriented horizontally.
Unfortunately, getting the fireplace components to appear in the "Fireplaces" category hasn't been possible, even with manual editing via S3PE. It’s an issue I haven't been able to resolve yet.
That said, I wanted to show you three fireplaces I built using five different components. I’d love to hear which categorization approach you prefer!

Ocultá-los no catálogo principal e torná-los acessíveis apenas por meio de uma Coleção é, para mim, a melhor solução; isso permite encontrá-los rapidamente sem sobrecarregar o catálogo.
Perfeito! Farei isso então, muito obrigado Sisilou!! <3
oh that's awesome ! what if the flaming part was entirely separate so objectively you could make a fireplace out of literally anything? 🤔
Oh, the flaming part is completely separate, yes! xD
