HOGWARTS AND MORE!
Hi everyone!
I hope your magic classes are up to date, because I, the alchemist BoringBones, have decided to show up and share this week’s progress.
And trust me… there’s something new here.
As if building Hogwarts wasn’t already a challenge, I decided to do something even more chaotic: create a course while building Hogwarts.
The truth is, this project is pushing my work to a whole new level in many ways. So instead of keeping all that learning to myself, I decided to document everything and turn it into something that can support other creators or anyone who wants to get started with The Sims 3.
The course (The Art of Creating Worlds for The Sims 3) covers different areas: World Machine, Blender, TSR… and maybe the most valuable part is that I’m opening up my process, including how I optimize time and production, and how I make decisions, think through problems, and organize my files to speed up my workflow.
There are free classes available for everyone, including a lot of what I’ve already shared in videos and livestreams. But I’m also creating exclusive content for supporters starting at the “Local Figure” tier, which should be under $2 when converted. (Yes, I know. I should probably value my work more… but here we are.)
My intention is to release new videos from Monday to Friday over the next few weeks, until I feel I’ve shared everything I know about this.
Now, about Hogwarts: this project has me more fascinated every day.
Recently, I dove into the challenge of creating curved pieces, and when I say “dove in,” I mean 10 straight hours trying to make something work. But after a lot of trial, error, and persistence… something clicked.
And when it clicked, it really clicked!
Now I have a process that lets me create a huge variety of curved pieces, in different positions, in just minutes. That changes everything. And more importantly, it allows me to build a version of Hogwarts that’s much closer to what we see in the movies and games.
So when you support my work, and here’s my sincere thanks to everyone who already has, especially those who picked up Haven Springs, you’re not just supporting a project. You’re buying me time to learn, experiment, and push the quality of what I create even further.
And that’s exactly what’s happening.
At the end of the day, I hope you’re ready to fly over these towers on a broomstick. But more than that, I hope this process and everything I’m sharing, inspires you to explore your own ideas and expand what’s possible within The Sims 3.
Because this world can still grow a lot.
And honestly… it deserves it. Thank you for your support <3

that's a mighty ambitious project! I know you can make it! it would be great if it was an actual explorable dungeon too! ✨✨👏👏
