March Set Sneak Peek!
Today I’m here to share a small progress update — a very simple preview that once again demonstrates the power of modularity.
I know, you know, we all know that “modularity is the future.” But I’ll never get tired of saying it: we can always push it one step further.
I’m planning to release my first Architecture Kit for The Sims 3 in March. Unlike my previous Sets, this Kit is designed to deliver a collection of items that, when used together, bring truly fascinating buildings to life.
Architecture in Layers
This kit was designed as a modular system divided into clear parts:
MODULAR Pillars:
Base – low, medium, or high
Center – the main body, clean, without lower or upper detailing, with width variations
Top – small, medium, and large
Plus:
Extension pieces and complementary blocks
The center pieces are intentionally “neutral” so they can be seamlessly combined between base and top without visual conflict. With them, you’ll be able to create:
Monumental portals
Classical windows with bold framing
Victorian façades
Neoclassical constructions
Elegant urban buildings
Contemporary structures with architectural weight
You’re no longer locked into a single closed format.
You build your own composition.
🏛️ Visual Weight, Rhythm, and Proportion
Look closely at the image: the pieces aren’t overly decorative. They have volume. They have shadow. They have presence.
I wanted to bring that sense of “real” architecture — where a pillar isn’t just a cylinder glued to a wall, but a structure composed of:
A stepped base
A solid body
An intermediate element
A top cornice with depth
This completely transforms the impact of a façade.
Keep in mind, I’m just beginning to construct the pillars. In this preview, you were already able to notice three different composition types that a single pillar — built from six interchangeable parts (three lower / three upper) — can provide.
In The Sims 3, lighting and shadow work magic when you give objects real depth. This kit was modeled with that in mind. It reacts to light. It creates contrast. It creates drama.
🎨 Versatility for Creators
This kit was designed with three types of creators in mind:
The classical builder who loves Victorian mansions.
The storyteller who wants the building itself to tell a story.
People with little or no experience who want to build extraordinary buildings.
You can:
Create historical buildings in small worlds.
Turn a simple lot into something cinematic.
Reimagine urban centers.
Elevate Tiny Worlds with detailed façades.
And honestly? Tiny Worlds become dramatically more interesting when you can vary façades through a modular system instead of repeating ready-made objects.
March will be about that. About raising the standard, about building worlds with stronger, clearer identity.
This is only a preview.
Wait until you see the full set in action on an entire Victorian house.
We’re just getting started.
