Development Update 5
I want to finish and release the Pilot Episode of A Foreign World this month. Why? Because it's been long enough, hasn't it?
By now, I have already put up a steam store page for the game. While we are at it, please put my game on your wishlist. The more wishlists I can accumulate before going into early access, the more Steam will promote the game for me. Steam page
Creating this store page was part of what I did these past few weeks. I should tell you the timeline I set for Steam. If things go as planned, I'll start early access in February 2023 with about three to four hours of gameplay. Depending on the success of A Foreign World, the game will be in development for 0,5 - 1,5 years. There's also the potential for sequels if there is a demand for them.
So how's the state of the game? I said I want to give you a release within this month, so you can guess it's almost finished. The next update will include about 7.000 words of story, 250 images, and about five animations. All of that has already been written/created. The only thing left is putting it together and adding some music/sound.
To be honest, creating some of those renders was a pain in the ass. Running dforce animations on nine characters... Yeah, you only do that because you love the moment the hurt fades away. There is one shot in particular that took me about five hours to create.
I'll keep it short and go back to coding in the images. Hopefully, you'll hear from me soon.
Until then, Enjoy!
