Release v0.6.1
Honestly, this might be the update I'm most proud of. There was the real possibility of saying 'Fuck It' and giving up on improving my game. We are here now, so I didn't do that.
I got to the point where I fixed things that hadn't even been included in my last Release. For example, I did change the Main Menu background and overlay a bunch of times. Also, some of the images in v0.6.1 have been rerendered more often than I feel comfortable admitting.
So, I'm already listing things, but what can you expect? Not day seven. I can tell you this much. The game still ends at the same point as with v0.6.0, but I'm reluctant to say that there is no additional content. Especially the sex scenes have seen quite a few improvements. They are now all animated!
Yeah... that took my computer a while to render. Still, by far, the most time has been spent on the game's text. I already mentioned it, but I ran the entire text (90.000 words) through Grammarly Premium, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that it had ~3.500 things to complain about.
After that, I gave the text to one of my Patreons, who was kind enough to proofread it. It turned out that there were still quite a few things that could/should be changed. Thank you, Paul. I also had help from two other guys, which should not go unmentioned. These guys will surely make it into the special thanks section of 'Playing With Fire'.
I rewrote some scenes to fill in a plot hole or two, which was kind of fun, actually. But I didn't just rewrite scenes for more clarity. I also went ahead and rewrote some of the sex scenes, so they are now more fun.
Another thing that is included in this release is the new replay gallery, where you can unlock and rewatch all the spicy scenes of the game. This also works pretty well as an indicator of how much of the game you have seen. I was somewhat surprised as I activated Cheat Mode, skipped through the entire game, taking the right choices, and I still hadn't unlocked half of the scenes available.
It took me a good 20 minutes to unlock all the scenes so I could start testing if the Gallery scenes all worked. So maybe go and explore a little. You might find that it's more complicated than expected to find all the scenes. (WARNING - on day Six, there are three variations of a scene that all look alike)
And finally, there is now a custom pre-game settings screen where you can activate Cheat Mode, activate a Walkthrough, or simply rename the characters.
