Considering that it's a special holiday, I should have probably rendered out my girls in bunny suits. I haven't done that ...
Instead, I thought I'd tell you about what I'm currently working on.
The picture above isn't something that will find its way into the game. I was working on Daniel's place. I added a few props, changed a few surfaces, and experimented with the background. Things were getting a bit too abstract, so to better grasp how things looked, I set up a special scene and rendered it out.
Things to keep in mind, it's 5120x2880, so it's a very high-resolution image. Also, I added the bloom filter that's part of Daz Studio (I've never touched that thing before), which makes the whole thing that much better. I didn't do any post-work; I only brightened it up slightly.
Now let's get to the exciting part. What about v0.7.0? I asked for proofreaders, and a few offered their help. It already took me five days to go through days 1-3, and it will probably be another week until I'm happy with the text. I still do renders during that process but not as much as before.
I made an animation, and when I looked at it, I felt I had to do it again because I wasn't focused, and it didn't look good. That sucks.
Currently, I am still working on rerendering some of my earlier work. It's a time-consuming process, but it will probably pay off in the long run. v0.7.0 is supposed to be a polished up version of Steve's story. That being said, I can already predict that It will probably take quite a bit of time until I'm going to drop the next release.
Still, it's not all bad news. I'll probably bring out a bug-fixed, rewritten, and rerendered version of day six reasonably soon. If you want to experience Steve's story more beautifully, then that might be something you want to check out.
Other than that, I still have to write a few more paragraphs for day seven. Then there is the inconvenience that I haven't set up a single new environment or rendered a single new image for the new release. What a bummer, right? Yes, I'll get to it soon. If I have a new render, my Patreons will finally get another development update.
