RTX 3060
See this render up there? The one on the volleyball court? It's not the prettiest. There is a whole lot wrong about it and I didn't even adjust the lighting in post work but this scene had the tendency to crash my pc whenever I tried to render it out. As you can see, that's no longer the case. I finally invested into a graficscard (up until now I was randering on my CPU which is really slow).
I've been trying some things over the last few days and let me tell you, at first it looked like a complete game changer. It still is but I've started to rerender images of old releases to see the side by side comparison. Turns out that I did a better job at polishing up my renders than I thought I did. Who would have known?
To make the difference clear, I put up two images. I think you can spot the difference. I usually rendered an image at 2560x1440 for 15-30min (~100 Iterations), put it through a denoiser and lastly scaled it down to 1280x720 in post work. Now I can render an image directly in 1280x720 which it takes me under five minutes and it has a better quality. This makes my life that much easier.
Then, day four of Playing With Fire is going to go public this week. It's a shorter release with about as much content as my initial v.0.1.1 (140 renders, 8.000 words) and it focuses on Lena, this time. For my patreons, this is old news because I already mentioned it twice but I thought about combining day four and five into one release and decided against it. Day five is too big for that and it would have significantly delayed this release now.
I'd also like to anounce new rewards for my patreons. I haven't decided on what exactly I'm going to do but it's going to be additional content for my second tier Patreons. This could either be extra Renders or even little comics. At one point I'm going to make some polls on what people like to see (These might already be patreon only).
Until then, enjoy ...
