Development update 8

I think It's time to tell you guys how far I am with v.0.4.0. Right now, I'm in the flow where writing comes naturally. Let's hope I can continue with that for a while. I already wrote about 6.500 words on day four.

As always, I go about the story before I do my renders. Still, this time I had some scenes in mind where I wasn't sure I could render them out, so I tried some things with lighting, and it went surprisingly well. Dark scenes are just the worst for my setup, but somehow the one you see on top only rendered twenty minutes, and it came out fine with a good amount of detail.

There are also a few pictures where I have to show a crowd, and if you know a bit about Daz, you know that you quickly run into a problem when you try to put multiple characters into your scene. Also, there is no way that my PC could render anything that is more than five. I once heard about billboards, so that's what I used. It looks fine if you don't pay too close attention to it.

There was also the problem that v.0.3.1 had an inferior image quality. Sorry for that, guys. With v.0.4.0, things will return to a bigger file size and keep the old quality.

I'm playing with the idea of combining days four and five into one release. I think I don't want to stretch the game unnecessarily, so there would be almost no content on day four if you are on specific paths, which could be very unsatisfying. Day five might be too big to do that, though. 

We'll see. I'm going back to writing now. See you in about two weeks with another development update.
