Development Update 53
It's this time of the year again...
Okay, this joke is getting old. But what can I say, it's been a while since my last Development Update. Hope you guys haven't forgotten about me yet. Keeping up with the newly introduced Special Renders made sure I had at least some posts each month, so the feeling of being behind on Dev updates never really settled in.
I've mentioned it before, I did some rendering practice, I trained my writing skills, and I even did some stuff with renpy. But I'm happy to announce that practice is over. I'm putting my focus on A Foreign World.
As everyone knows who has played the last update, Episode 7 is going to be "The Beach Episode". I mean, you can't have a harem story without showing off the characters in bikinis. It would be like having coffee without sugar. Just wouldn't be that sweet.
Fuck me. First Dev Update in a while and I'm already back to making enemies. No offence to those who drink their coffe black, some people like pain. It's not too weird of a thing at all. Talk to Sue... She knows.
Did you guys miss me? It's always fun writing dev updates. It's just a little sad when I don't have too much to say. But no worries. I can fill a page. No problem.
As you can see the image at the top of this post isn't a render. Some of you might be able to guess, but let's not say it out loud. Focus on the good things.
Jokes aside, my top priority right njow is not to finish Episode 7. That alone would be easy. It's to finish the story of "A Foreign World" in a reasonable amount of time. So, what you are seeing above are the bullet points of what I have planed for each update all the way to the grand finally, and maybe beyond. Notice the headline saying Episode 11, right there at the end.
But since I'm a dick, and I'm not much into spoilers, I set the font to pt1 and zoomed out. Hopefully you can't read it. If you can reconstruct it somehow, then don't be a dick, and keep the spoilers to yourself. Yours sincerly, HT.
I'd love to finish the game this year, but since there are still 8 more updates to go, that's a little unrealistic. I'll see what I can do.
Fingers crossed and hope for the best. Next up is Episode 7.

Is the next episode not going to keep focusing on the main girls romance with the player?
I know we can get ourselves a harem, and they even use the term in the game. But for some reason it doesn't _feel_ like a harem game. Once it's completed, I'd like to try a playthrough where I focus on just _one_ girl. I still think it would be awesome.
I love this game, what i worry about is the lack of scenes with the girls if the game is more than halfway. I hope it wont end with the final battle but there will be a sequal of sorts where he gets to enjoy the fruits of his labour :P
Your updates may take a while, but they are always THE BEST 🤩! And believe me when I say, I would know 😏. And you cannot fool me. There is NO way you could finish this story by the end of the year, and I REALLY do not want you to rush through it. It has been way too good so far for that to happen ❤️.
