Development Update 52

Once upon a time, there was always the issue that after an Update I couldn't write Dev Updates for a while because I don't have any new renders to show you guys.

So with that being said, don't get your hopes up. The render that's on top of this post is an old one that can be seen in my other game, A Familiar World. I like the lighting. It makes Tracy's wings look pretty cool. The one in the front is Sue, btw.

I don't have much to report. You probably notice that I reworked my Patreon Page. New Banner, new Tiers, new benefits. It's not the craziest change, but I think it was a good decission.

The special renders for April were pretty neat. Lucy is a bit overrepresented in them but maybe she's a favorite. I explained it in the Patreon Rework post, there will always be a special render the girl my patreons voted for, and then each of my Tier 4 Patreons can have a render of their own.

One of my Tier 4 subs ignored me, though. I sent him a message explaining the change and asking him if he has a wish for his special render, and he never got back to me. Granted it's only been two weeks and life can be buisy. He'll get two special renders if he keeps his pledge and texts back in a month or two.

And I'd like your opinion on something.

Tier 4 Patreons can also request NSFW renders, no problem there. Special Renders will become public two months after the innitial release. I can’t make NSFW renders public on Patreon, but there is also Discord and X.

My question would be if I should make all renders public or just those that don't destroy the fantasy. This month I had a request asking for Lucy and Mia to give oral to MC. And yeah, it might not be part of A Foreign World, but in terms of AVNs it's also not too out there. But I'm not sure how I should handle renders about some niche kinks that I know aren't for everyone to enjoy.

Now this post will be public in a week, so I won't get too graphic. Two examples. Urin is a no for many people. They don't like it, they don't want to see it, and they don't want to see the women of the story they enjoy doing this sort of thing. Or another example. A Patreon might request an image where it seems like one of the girls is making fun of him for the size of his member. Even though these images aren't part of A Foreign World, some people might not want to see them as to not ruin their immersion.

The question is, should I filter these kinds of images out, or do I just release them and let everyone filter for themselves? The thing is, it hasn't happened yet. It's the first month, so not very strange... But I know my audience/my potential audience. Just because A Foreign World doesn't feature many extreme fetishes, doesn't mean that there aren't people playing the game that enjoy some harder stuff.

So right now I'm leaning to a hybrid version where you can download a "vanilla" version of the special renders, and a "complete" version of the special renders. Granted, maybe there will never be a request that is a bit too far out there in my eyes, but if there is, I'd like to know how to handle it, instead of just publishing the image and grossing out fans.

What's your opinon?

By the way, I haven't done much for A Foreign World. I've been practicing writing and rendering, and I've been experimenting with a few things. Nothing noteworthy.
