Mythos Crossover Interview - RJ Rhodes!
Jessica Lee: Good evening, Baltimore! We're back in the studio with a special guest - RJ Rhodes, the developer of the game "Come Home". Welcome, RJ!
RJ Rhodes: Hi Jessica. Thank you for having me. I've never been to Baltimore. That's in Massachusetts, right?
JL: Ah... a little bit further south, we're in Maryland. We do the crabs, not the chowder. So I understand that your game has just released an update, correct? What can you tell us about it?
RJ: My game is Come Home. It's a relaxing, feel-good type game with a ridiculously large cast, a ton of optional storylines, and a whole bunch of sex. Seriously. The new update had 26 different sex animations in it. Everybody is fucking in this game.
JL: Wow, 26 just in this most recent update! That's very impressive! And it says here that your game has a sort of mystery element behind the non-sexual part of the story as well?
RJ: Yeah, there's an underlying mystery about what happened to your character's dad. He goes missing, and there's some wonky parallel universe stuff going on that you discover more of as you investigate his disappearance.
But most of the game's content is with the individual character stories. Developing relationships and such. The mystery is a bit of a catalyst, but not the main focus. No deep lore here. Main focus is definitely the sex.
JL: Well, certainly nothing wrong with that! Apparently, there's also a connection between Come Home and Mythos? Are these two games are set in the same "universe", as it were?
RJ: Well yeah! At least one of the same universes. Reba and Tara are cousins, though they don't get to see much of each other anymore, what with Tara being here in Baltimore and Reba living in Skyhill now.
JL: I see! So is there any chance of an actual crossover in the future? Maybe a guest appearance from one world in the other?
RJ: There's already a bit of that going on, I think. At least, somebody who looks an awful lot like me is apparently serving burgers at a diner in Mythos, and somebody who looks an awful lot like Tara is taking English classes in Skyhill. Not sure what's going on with that! Multiverses are freakin weird!
JL: The multiverse concept has been blowing up in popularity thanks to... certain other pop culture media, and you've brought it up a few times just now -- is this something Come Home will be exploring... between all the sex, of course?
RJ: For sure. Eventually, the MC of my game is going to have sex with literally every person in this universe and will have to move on to others.
JL: That's a very lofty goal! Is there a set ending to all this, or is it going to be the MC dimension-hopping and fucking until you retire from game development?
RJ: Ha! No there's an ending in mind. I just released update 9 and I plan on the game ending with update 20. I have plenty of other game ideas that I am looking forward to making.
JL: Well, I certainly can't wait to see any new prospective projects you may be working on in the future. Now RJ, before we go; is there anything in particular about this update that you're really pleased with? Some kind of highlight, if you will, though I understand you not wanting to drop any major spoilers.
RJ: In this update, I tried very hard to improve the visuals of the game. When I first started, over a year ago, I didn't know anything about Daz or Ren'py and was just learning everything as I went, with a pretty old video card as well. Now, after learning so much, I feel that my skills have improved drastically since I first began and I'm really proud of the renders that I've been putting out lately.
Those 26 animations that I did in this last update are probably what I'm most proud of. It's something that I've been focusing on, trying to improve, because I know that my early animations are not that great. Soon, I'll go back and replace those as well, to better match.
There's a few highlights in the update - sex with a certain character that I've been building up to since the beginning, and another scene involving several people that I don't want to get too much into due to spoilers, but I'm very proud of those scenes. They're all really, really hot.
JL: Well, we'll all have to take a look at these -- I'll have to set aside a good bit of time to get through so many storylines! And I highly encourage everyone at home to give Come Home a look as well; especially with your growth and improvement. Thank you so much for stopping by, RJ! Any final words for our viewers?
RJ: The viewers? Nah, I think you got that covered.
But, uh... what are you doing after the show Te... errr um I mean Jessica? Maybe want to get a drink, or a burger, or make out or something?
JL: Oh! Well... I do know a spot that has some good burgers. Pretty big ones, too... but as for you, our audience at home, thank you for tuning in, and keep the legends alive!

RJ: "At least, somebody who looks an awful lot like me is apparently serving burgers at a diner in Mythos, and somebody who looks an awful lot like Tara is taking English classes in Skyhill." Me: "And Ms. Welch looks quite similar to Teri's female MC!"
I joke that Ms. Welch is either Kylie's aunt or a time-traveling Kylie from the future.
