Friday Update - March 5, 2021
Before we get started - the date format in the image is day - month - year; I didn't get the date wrong!
Now that we got that out of the way, my first week of working on Chapter Two was pretty productive, though I don't have anything to physically show you for it. I could show you the outline of events that I have, or the flow chart that shows which decisions lead to which scenes, but then I'd just be spoiling it for you! So let's just leave it to say that I'm almost done charting out how Chapter Two is going to go.
However, as I was working on a commission this afternoon, I discovered what I hope will only be a minor setback -- it appears some of my Daz assets have either gone missing or just become unlinked. I tried to load up the Main Character's living room, and none of it existed. The Main Character's Bedroom seems largely intact, so I'm hoping that I won't have to rebuild a whole lot of crap. And if I do have to rebuild crap, I'm going to be worried about continuity errors like "hey, the door across the street is a different colour, now!"
This naturally will only potentially affect locations that have been used before; CyberDaze, the Main Character's house, Gaia's Cradle, T's Diner, Rain's House, and the apartment at the end of Chapter One. Thankfully, a few of those were pretty close to the "out of the box" version of the assets and won't take too much time to rebuild. And the really good news is that it doesn't look like any of the characters got screwed up.
I'll be looking through all my scene files to see what I need to reinstall over the weekend.
Oh, and it's maybe possible my water heater just stopped working, today... it tripped the breaker and I reset it but the water is still only like... slightly warm two hours later. It may just take a long time to heat up, right? Please let that be the case.
Alright, that's enough of my doomsaying! Other than the Daz thing, production is going at the expected pace!
