Mythos Crossover Interview - Eris
Jessica Lee: Hello Baltimore, and good evening! I'm Jessica Lee with WETT Channel 3 news, and joining us in the studio tonight, as part of our series on the upcoming game Mythos, is... Eris. The developer of Harem Highland. Another game. Thanks for coming, Eris!
Eris Discordia: Thanks for having me, Jessica! And, it's Harem Highlander, by the way.
JL: Right, sorry about that! So -- I think I'll start with the question on everyone's mind at home... why are you here?
ED: Well, I was sitting around, minding my own business, and a giant vortex opened and shat me out here. And so here I am. It really doesn't make any more sense to me than it does to you, but I'm pretty much used to it by now. At least here, no one is trying to lewd me.
JL: Interesting! That apple you brought with you -- is that somehow related to your random appearance, here?
ED: Oh! I heard it's always polite to bring a gift, so this is for the Mythos crew! Well, specifically, one member of the Mythos crew.
JL: One specific member? May I ask whom?
ED: Ah, now now Jessica, that'd be giving away the mystery - and I hear Mythos is all about Mystery! I'll just give you a clue. It is "For the Fairest'.
JL: (Nervously glancing to the golden apple) Well, I don't think I should take it, then -- that'd be pretty unfair of me! So does your appearance here indicate some sort of crossover between our two worlds?
ED: Well, I can't say! I mean, I look around this nice world you guys have here, and it seems all sensible and reasonable, and I'm not sure if you'd really want Faeries and Pickle-Swords mucking all that up. However, I've learned to never say never, so we'll just have to wait and see, I suppose. But hey, you're kind of cute, are you interested in joining a Harem for a guy with a very average-sized penis?
JL: Haha -- well, I think Teri has plans for me that are going to keep me quite busy in this world, so I'll have to pass on your invitation. Though if you ever need a reporter, give me a call, eh?
ED: Most certainly, Jessica. And if you ever want to get a drink while I'm here, you let me know, okay? (Wink)
JL: (Nervous throat clearing) So, I have a bit of inside information -- my sources say that you are actually an alpha tester for Mythos. Is that correct? Have you actually played some of the game?
ED: Well! That is actually true! I have gotten my hands on the Alpha, and tried it out! I was really impressed, it's quite well-made, and all the girls are really cute. I'm not sure how I feel about the optional gender of the MC, but I get that Teri made that decision for a reason, but I will say that Kylie is much cuter than Kyle, as far as MC's go. As for playing the game - I have actually finished the alpha! Would you like spoilers? I can give you spoilers, Jessica. Over drinks, if you'd like. Back at my hotel.
JL: Um. I don't think we should be giving out any spoilers, should we? (More nervous throat clearing) Can you say anything enticing that wouldn't be a spoiler? (Quickly adding) About the game, I mean.
ED: Enticing, but not a spoiler, eh? Hmmm... let me think a moment here. Well, I can certainly say that in Mythos, there's a lot more to things than meet the eye! What you initially see is not what you get! You should always look for the subtext and try to see beneath the surface. Get a look at what's really going underneath it all. Kind of undress the situation with your eyes and see it, laying naked before you, exposed to your mind's eye, and then you can see what is really going on. Uh... Jessica? Why are you squirming so much? Are you uncomfortable?
JL: No no, the studio lighting... it's just reflecting off the apple and into my eyes, that's all. SO! While this is a Mythos interview, you're the developer of another game - is there any exciting upcoming news about Harem Highwayman?
ED: We're having our Episode 2 release on January 15th! I'm very excited about that. So far it's been Episode 1, and our Christmas DLC episode, but of course, everyone wants that big ol chunk of new content, and soon we'll provide it! And by we, I mean me. Sorry, I kind of slip in to the 'Royal We' thing sometimes, side effect of being a pan-dimensional chaos goddess & VN dev. Teri probably knows how it is.
JL: Oh, I'm pretty sure Teri abhors chaos, but she does that "we" thing, herself. But sadly, it looks like we're coming up against a hard break -- is there anything else you'd like to tell our audience before we wrap up?
ED: Play Mythos and support it's Dev, she's positively wonderful! And thanks for letting me visit! This is a great universe you guys have here, and I can't wait to see how it continues to unfold! Also, Jessica, there's a key card in your pocket. Room 42. You should use it. (Wink)
JL: (Subtly feels her jacket pocket, then clears her throat again) Excellent! Thank you for coming by tonight, Eris! Next week we may have another surprise in the studio! Or we might not. I honestly don't know. But until we figure that out... Keep the legends alive!
