Friday Update - November 13th, 2020

A Friday the 13th in 2020? What's the worst that can happen?

Well, I actually did get some bad medical news from my family today, but it's not the most horrible thing. Otherwise, it's been the normal level of 2020 suck I've come to expect. 

But y'all don't wanna hear about my personal life - you're hear to see what's going on with Mythos! And in that regard, the progress made this week is far less tangible than me being able to show renders of what I've done. I had to very slightly redo Sophia; her skin was coming out looking too reddish in some shots, and her lips were way too glossy. Plus the brightness of her eyes made it look like they were always glowing, which is not the case! Sophia's just a normal human girl. Totally.

The largest progress on this front, however, has been my knowledge. Thanks to some other far more experienced Devs (I'm leaving nameless, unless they want to reveal themselves), I've absorbed a big load of knowledge on things to do in Daz and Photoshop. I learned things that I didn't know I didn't know. Questions I'd never thought to ask were answered. I spent hours in a Discord call while techniques were demonstrated and my questions were answered - stupid as I think they were.

Heh... I said "big load" up there.

Anyway, having learned these things early in the development of Mythos means that there won't be any jarring changes several updates down the line. It also means that my Daz progress will be going considerably faster, as I was doing some... very inefficient things, because I didn't know of practices that could help me out. 

I know this isn't the kind of meaty, tangible development that some would hope to see, but I promised to give you lot an update every Friday, no matter how boring.
