(Re)-introducing the Démoiselle Dress
After I promised to re-release older patterns in the new expanded size range, one of the most-requested patterns was the Brunch dress, previously released in May 2022. The pattern has been fully re-graded from scratch, and now includes the two sleeve variations from the original late 30s pattern.
I've renamed this new iteration the Démoiselle dress - French for 'lady' - which feels a better fit for this elegant house dress or frock.

Now with updated instruction booklet with complete yardage requirements and cutting layouts

Out of curiosity, how is this one different from the original dress? I had just gotten it printed AO a few weeks before this release. You say that you re-graded from scratch... are the previous sizes now different in some way? Thanks!
The grading was re-done professionally with proper grading software, resulting in more accurate size grades. It also follows very slightly different grading rules. Plus of course we added additional sizes. The differences aren't *huge*, but they're detectable if you compare the two PDFs side by side.
Yay! I know the pattern instructions arent up to date yet, but what is the new max waist? It used to max out at 36, I think
It now goes up to a 42" waist in line with the current size chart - the full size chart is here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/size-chart-84770010?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link
Such a pretty pattern xxx
One of my personal favourites!
So happy about this! I’ll have to squeeze it into my sewing plans for the Summer! 🥳
Yayy happy sewing!
I would love to know more about pattern expansions, I've been debating moving from Enthusiast to Aficionado tier. 😍
Not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited about the upcoming expansion for this pattern! All will be revealed very soon. More generally, the planned expansions will add further styling options to new and past patterns - think sleeve variations, alternative collars, additional skirts, etc.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :-)
Thank you so much 🥰
Oh my goodness, thank you! I was debating trying to grade it up because of how much I like the design and now I don't have to
Yay! Happy sewing ❤️
Exciting 😍
