Magazine: Home Notes 12 October 1951 - Plus Bonus Projects!

This issue of Home Notes from October 1951 includes patterns for two hat and handbag sets. I've included the patterns - fully scaled for printing in both print-at-home and A0 options - as a bonus project.

The tiled patterns are labelled on a grid system for ease of laying out.

  • For the felt hat shown on the cover, print pages 21-24

  • For the felt handbag shown on the cover, print pages 25-30

  • For the tartan peaked beret, print pages 1-8

  • For the felt & tartan handbag, print pages 9-20

Oh I love the peaked beret! Thank you. ❤️ I’m reading the instructions though and am not 100% clear… Are we feeding the beret into the peak and sewing along the stitching line separately for the top of the peak and the bottom? I imagine the bottom of the peak doesn’t go any further in than underneath bit of the beret… 🤔

That's how I read the instructions (I agree they're not terribly clear!)
