Introducing the Calypso Blouse
I've teased this pattern with the release of both the Explorer Shorts and the Librarian Skirt - I'm delighted to introduce the Calypso Blouse, a cap-sleeve, tie-front blouse designed for effortless style and carefree comfort.
The blouse is cropped to waist length in the back, and designed to sit just above the waist at centre front for just a glimpse of midriff.
The distinctive wing collar is integrated with the blouse front for a clean, elegant finish.
This versatile piece can be worn with a button fastening as a separate top, or layered over dresses as a breezy, bolero-style overblouse.
With its integrated collar and sleeves, the Calypso Blouse is a surprisingly speedy make - and a great way to use up leftover yardage or shorter lengths.
Wear with shorts or strappy dresses for carefree summer chic; or channel Rizzo from Grease, paired with a pencil skirt or cigarette pants.
The Calypso blouse is set to be a summer wardrobe staple! I’ve already made several iterations, and it’s top of my vacation packing list!

Printing this right now! Going to make it as soon as I figure out what fabric from my stash to use. . . Or maybe I need to buy new fabric?
Super cute. I love the way you used it as a layering piece.
I love having a layer on hand for both sun and chill protection - and extra points for matchy-matchy sets! ☺️
This is what I needed to start my morning right! Love it!
Aww yay, I'm so glad you like it!
This is the one I've been waiting for. Love this so much. Thank you 💖
Yay! So happy you like it 🥰
I also love how you have it tied over a dress as a bolero. I’m going to make a 1950’s weekend vacation capsule wardrobe and this piece is just perfect for it 💕
I'm obsessed with the concept of the 1950s mix and match capsule vacation wardrobe and that's exactly how I envisaged it! 🥰🥰🥰
YESSS!! Exactly what I need for summer, and to use up some shorter yardage for my stash! 😍😍😍Many thanks
Yay! Always happy to fill a wardrobe gap haha 🥰
Perfect Charlotte !!! …I wanted something that just gives a hint of skin xx
I like to think it strikes just the right balance between coverage and sauce! ☺️
