Introducing the Town & Country Blazer
And finally! Our third pattern release for March brings us all up to date, and I hope you'll agree it's been worth the wait!
The Town & Country Blazer is a 1940s-inspired jacket pattern featuring elegant princess seams and classic tailoring. The curved, peaked lapel and flared peplum bring a touch of drama.
This is a design I’ve made for myself three times - it’s featured on two previous cover pages (my first ever pattern, the Powderpuff hat, and the Snowglobes circle skirt) - and I always get asked whether it will be a Patreon pattern - well, it’s finally happened!
This blazer flatters the waist and pairs perfectly with skirts of any shape, from slim pencil styles to 1940s A-lines to sweeping 50s circle skirts thanks to the flared peplum.
Sew it up in classic plaids or textured tweeds for country chic, or go for luxe velvets and wool flannel to channel polished city style.
I love adding matching fabric-covered buttons to these jackets - the kits are inexpensive and easy to use, but the custom buttons give the finished blazer an elevated, professional look.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! I’m tackling this after I I finish the fatale dress, which is puttering along.
What a fantastic month we are having with all the pattern releases. I was looking at this jacket on your Instagram a few days ago. It has been a real favourite of mine. I also love the magazine where you got your inspiration from. I need to find the powder puff hat pattern that you designed right back at the beginning. I can't thank you enough for all the wonderful patterns. Struggling to decide which one to do first as lovely them all. Can't wait for the tie front wing collar shirt you keep teasing us with to be released but I know I need to be patient 💖
You won't have to wait much longer - it's going to be the next release! 😊
Oh I LOVE this, but phooey, it's not in my size. But I still appreciate so much what you do, and 3 patterns in one month?! You've spoiled us, haha.
Had to clear the backlog 🙈
OMG I’m so excited!!!! I have some fun prints that are going to be 40s meets 80s meets the tropics
That sounds amazing!
