Introducing the Weekender Bolero
The Weekender series is inspired by patterns from the 1940s and 50s which include interchangeable button-on accessories - perfect for travelling light or a weekend getaway, as you can create multiple looks with just a few items.
The Weekender Bolero is designed as a second button-on option (in addition to the cape sleeve released with the original dress pattern), but can also be made without buttonholes to wear with any sun dress in your wardrobe.
With sleeves and collar all cut in one with the bolero body, this is a super speedy project. Plus, it’s reversible, so you get two looks in one!
Note: in a slight departure from my usual cup size range, I’ve combined the A/B and C/D cup sizes into a single size. This is due to the open-front fit of the bolero, which makes the sizing a bit more flexible.

I love that its reversible! I am always searching for the right layer to coordinated my outfit in my cold office and this is the perfect piece. Thank you ;)
Oh @Tuppence Ha’penny, I just realised there’s no A0 file and I project my patterns - was that just an oversight when uploading?
Oops, thanks for letting me know! I'm at the office today but I'll add the A0 file when I get home.
OMG! 💖 I’ve just been planning an outfit this weekend to make to wear to a charity ball in Nov and wanted a bolero - then this lands in my inbox! Love the buttons idea - I often wear a cardigan clip to keep bolero shaped cardigans in place but don’t want to do that for a more fancy outfit… Now I just need to figure out a) where to put buttons on the Lana petal sleeve bust, b) adjust the bolero to be more like a shrug so the petal bust is displayed or c) leave the buttons off
