Asking again...for those of you with top 10 lists...
As some of you might know, I'll be posting new top 10 lists for Adventure Games and Dungeon Crawls this year. I'd like to know what your top 10 games are, if you have lists. Or even a top 5, or a top 3! I'd like to do a little Dungeon Dive community segment in each of the videos, and I'll be posting reminders like this up until I'm ready to do the videos.
So let me have them! What are are games for a top 10/5/3 Dungeon Crawl / Adventure list?
I'd like to do a patron segment in each of the two videos (dungeon crawls and adventure games), so if you'd like to have your input included, please post here. If you already posted your lists the last time I asked, no need to post again, unless you want to.
I'll most likely be recording the episodes in October 2026.

I don't know that these should be in any particular order. It's a mix of crawlers and adventure...just my poor opinions. 1. Nemesis 2. Cthulhu: Death May Die (interchange with #1) 3. Arkham Horror 2E 4. This War of Mine (yeah, I know it's gritty and most hate it) 5. Zombicide: Black Plague (adding shooters and haints) 6. Lost Ruins of Arnak 7. Deep Madness 8. Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion (better than the original...my opinion) 9. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 10. Mice and Mystics (old school cute critters)
Hi Daniel, well i guess you already know it... but this is more or less a loose "order" 1.) Dungeon Universalis 2.) Shadows of Brimstone 3.) Warhammer Quest 95 & Silver Tower 4.) Darklight Memento Mori 5.) Advanced Hero Quest And some very honorable mentions: Hellboy, Resident Evil, Dungeon Saga Origins, Mini Rogue, Night of the Living Dead, Rogue Dungeon Best Chris
No particular order: 1. Runebound, 2. JIME, 3. Oathsworne, 4. Altar Quest, 5. Dragons Down, 6. Massive Darkness, 7. Pathfinder ACG, 8. Bloodborne, 9. Tainted Grail, 10. Dark Souls 2.0 w/expansion compatibility
Fav "Adventure"-ish games (that I have actually played). Dictated partly by my limited exposure: 1. Civitas Nihilium 2. Dark Venture 3. Arkham Horror 3E
Not in specific order but loosely. DCs 1, WHQ 95 2, Shadows of Brimstone 3, Forgotten Depths 4, Resident Evil 2 - Steamforged Games 5, Assassinorum Execution Force 6, Dark Souls - Steamforged Games 7, WHQ Blackstone Fortress 8, WHQ Adventure Card Game 9, Space Hulk Death Angel 10, Camp Grizzly (Dungeon Crawl or Adv?) Adventures (or not? Other thematic games) 1, Nemesis 2, Frostpunk 3, Robinson Crusoe 4, Dawn of the Zeds 5, Mansions of Madness 2nd ed (Dungeon Crawl?) 6, Dark Darker Darkest (Dungeon Crawl?) 7, Hercules and the 12 Labors 8, Friday 9, Kinfire Delve (Dungeon Crawl?) 10, Dead of Winter - The Long night Mostly I just want to include some choices to consider that would slip under the radar for a lot of people.
I have not amassed enough of either type to progress a Top List beyond "X number of games I like" 😅 When does that change by the way? I feel like it a BEST list should represent maybe the top 10%...? I might chuck my games in a ranker and see what comes out, and have a list of 2 or 3 😅 As of this moment, I would consider I have several favourites: Mice and Mystics to be my favourite game; Rogue Dungeon 2e to be my favourite all rounder crawler; Tin Helm to be my favourite simple crawler (with Karak increasingly close behind); Descent 2e to be the crawler to measure other crawlers against; Aftermath to be the best campaign system... I know Lists are popular (I love em too!) but I guess I realise why I have never made one before - I don't rate games vertically, rather laterally 😅 But that seems like a Top 5 list that quite well represents me.
My favourite Dungeon Crawlers: 1) Lobotomy II 2) Arydia 3) Bloodborne Board game 4) Agemonia Adventure games: 1) Euthia 2) Outer Rim (if it counts) 3) Sleeping Gods 4) The Witcher: Old World
My favourite genre has always been dungeon crawler boardgames and the following are my favourite ones 1) DUN by far my favourite 2) WHQ 1995 with the roleplay rules and Little Monk's content 3) Advanced HeroQuest From adventure games my favourite one is Dungeon Degenerates
